Nagisa couldn't help but smile at the words. Your mine. Was it horrible to love what those words implied?

"Karma... I should probably go see Kayano. She'll be wondering what happened," Nagisa murmured to the demon holding him. He felt Karma sigh.

"Alright... but don't take too long ok? I want to take you out for dinner tonight." A smug smile made its way onto Karma's face as he watched Nagisa's expression brighten. But just as quickly as it had appeared, it left.

"Don't... aren't you hungry?" Nagisa asked. His blue eyes looked worried. Damn. The demon had forgotten that although Nagisa was a fallen angel, he still had most powers of an angel. That included being able to sense the hidden thoughts and motives of those around them.
Though Karma brushed off his hunger like it was nothing, in the back of his mind he knew that he'd have to deal with his hunger soon. And Nagisa must've realized that.

"I wish I could put back that mark that would keep us bound. But it's also what keeps me hungry for your soul, and I couldn't do that to you, Nagisa~" Karma tilted his head with a deceivingly sweet smile, trying to hide the fact he was trying to distract the angel.

The fallen angel blushed but nodded slowly. "So.. are you going to go out and hunt others?"

"Shouldn't take long," he said breezily. That was a lie. The demon had no clue how long it'd actually take, especially with Asano out there. He'd find a way to find them again. Even though Karma trusted Nagisa could defend himself now, he wasn't going to take chances. If Nagisa got kidnapped again just because Karma had gotten cocky, the demon would never forgive himself. No, he didn't like leaving Nagisa alone at any time.

"Stop lying, Karma," Nagisa sounded hurt. Karma immediately backtracked.

"I'm one of the stronger demons, remember? I don't know how long it'll take but I'll find a way to make it happen," Karma said challengingly.

Nagisa relaxed noticeably, shaking his head in slight exasperation. "Be straight with me please, Karma."

"Yes I will, now go meet you angel friend or whatever," Karma waved him away casually.

Nagisa narrowed his eyes. "You aren't coming?"

"Was I supposed to?" Karma gave an innocent look, trying to pull off an oblivious smile.

The fallen angel eyed the demon's playful gold eyes and gave a knowing sigh. He got up. "See you there, Karma."

"Kayano?" Nagisa held the phone as he walked. It felt strange to be in the everyday world again, and he could feel the change. He was much more wary now, his ocean blue eyes darting around to anyone who seemed not who they looked. His senses picked up every little change, and Terasaka's gift felt reassuring against his leg. He could've gotten his old one back but with all that had happened, he'd forgotten it.

"NAGISA SHIOTA WHERE EXACTLY HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Kayano' voice suddenly blared through the speaker.

Nagisa winced, yanking the phone away from his ear. "I'll explain, but can you meet me in the park? In our usual spot."

"You better have a good excuse for this," Kayano said, and Nagisa could feel her anger.

"I do," Nagisa responded quickly, "I'm sorry... it's been a bit hectic." He did truly feel bad. At the very least, he owed his friend an explanation. Even though really all he wanted to do was rest, safe with Karma.
