"...Wandering through the park with away from the main paths, why?"
Karma swore. "Cut into your marking."
Nagisa looked at Asano, who nodded slightly. "He's right," the demon said, twirling his knife. Kayano stepped back wearily. "Getting Karma here first would be smart."
"Why is he with you?" Karma practically snarled.
"It's uh..." Nagisa wondered if he should go into detail, but Karma sounded rushed. "I'll explain later, why do you sound in a hurry?"
"Ally is coming," Karma hissed, "and I'm not letting her hurt you. She can try, when she's dead. Oh and Asano, I don't care if you've heard that."
Asano scoffed. "You've never cared about talking shit about my cousin before, no need to point it out now."
Kayano turned to Nagisa. "Ally?"
"Asano's, uh, cousin... She attacked me earlier... Karma threw her- literally- but... we don't exactly know what happened?"
"I should've killed her when I had the chance," Karma seethed, and Nagisa heard a 'watch your temper Karma!' In the back.
"Is that Rio?" Nagisa asked curiously. "Anyways, how will Ally find us?"
Kayano gulped nervously.
"Nagisa!" Karma snapped impatiently, "Cut the marking!"
Asano tossed the fallen angel back his knife, and Nagisa did as commanded. In mere seconds, Karma arrived next to Nagisa. His eyes scanned around, landing on Asano, then Kayano. "Which one of you told?"
"What?" Nagisa frowned.
Asano held his hands up innocently. "Not me."
"Nagisa I..." Kayano nervously fiddled with her fingers. "Does the demon have thin brown hair and brown eyes?"
Nagisa's eyes widened. "Yes but... when did you meet her?" He ignored Karma's venomous glaring.
Kayano looked miserable. "She asked me when I was seeing you next. Said she was a friend of Karma's. I didn't realize..."
Karma let out a frustrated growl. "I'm going to tear her throat out."
"Careful there," Asano warned, "she's stronger now."
"Who's fault is that?" The red-haired demon muttered, stepping closer to Nagisa protectively.
"It wasn't all my fault," Asano retorted.
"You come prepared, I see." A feminine voice giggled. "I was hoping to catch you off guard. Luckily, I came prepared too! Isn't that a coincidence?" Ally stepped out from behind a tree, smiling pleasantly. But when her gaze found Nagisa, it darkened with hatred.
"You," she sneered, "its all your fault. I would've got what I wanted if it weren't for you." She waved a hand, and 5 demons backed her, eyes glowing.
"What?" Nagisa stared at her, confused.
"Don't play clueless," she snapped, "Karma was always supposed to be mine. He was supposed to kill you."
Nagisa felt a flood of anger explode in him. "Karma was never yours in the first place," he retorted, gripping the knife in his hand tighter.
Karma smirked at his possessiveness. "Nagisa's right you know," he purred, "I am not yours, Ally. Never was." He let out a little laugh, pulling out a gun.
Ally's eyes widened, but she surprisingly didn't back down. "Fire!" she yelled in a shrill voice. Suddenly, a mix of bullets and arrows rained down.
Karma snatched Nagisa's wrist, but the fallen angel was already on the move, the two using their inhuman speed to dart for cover.
"Cowards," Asano grumbled, his features a blur as he dodged. "Help me take out those guards. There's no way in hell I'll be able to kill them all and Ally."
"I want to kill Ally," Karma's eyes were locked onto the innocent-looking demon. "For what she's done."
Asano studied him for a second, narrowly getting hit by a bullet in the process. "Be my guest."
Nagisa peaked out, squinting at the distance. "Those snipers are going to be a problem."
"You could've given me more of a warning," a voice suddenly scolded. The three turned. Rio stood, covered by a tree, hands on her hips. "I walk over and see a bunch of arrows and bullets raining down! I've been wandering this forest since Karma didn't tell me where he was." Rio was pouting.
Nagisa looked relieved. "Rio!"
"Help me out," Asano ordered.
Rio sighed. "Sure. I'll go left you go right."
Asano turned a harsh gaze at Kayano. "You- distract them. I hope you can dodge."
"What?!" Kayano squeaked.
Asano narrowed his eyes. "Just do it. I don't think you'd be good at killing."
She nodded nervously. "O-ok!"
"Get in close," Asano ordered Rio, "they can't fight you that way."
"Please, I know how to fight snipers." Rio smirked. "I bet I can kill more too."
Asano scoffed. The two waited for a second, letting Kayano draw everyone's attention, then dashed off.
Karma looked at Nagisa, a light smirk on his face. "Well? Should we go?"
Nagisa gave him a sharp nod.
"Shoot them!" Ally shrieked when she noticed the pair start to approach.
Nagisa kept his senses keen, even though he trusted Karma to know what he was doing with this direct approach.
No one shot them.Looking up, Nagisa could see why. Two blurs darted around the branches, sending leaves and limp bodies to the ground.
"Looks like your snipers are occupied," Karma taunted, swinging the gun in his hand casually.
Ally narrowed her eyes. "I don't want to fight you, Karma~ It's that fallen angel I want to fight. Can't you see he's putting the idea of love in your brain? It's all a lie! Demons can never truly love angels."
Karma shook his head, casually clicking off the safety. "No, Ally, you truly don't know what love is."
Nagisa's fingers crept to his knife, Karma taking the stage. The attention on him was dim, but the 5 demons around Ally were still demons. He had to be careful.
"I know plenty about love," Ally seethed.
Love huh? Karma kept a deceivingly calm smile on his face, keeping his stare locked with hers. You don't know what love is. You have never loved an angel like I have.
