The angel was getting tired of seeing just the fiery, dark colors of hell. He'd only gotten out of wherever he'd been trapped in about 5 minutes ago, but the only difference in scenery he'd noticed was that outside wherever he'd been contained was slightly more on fire.

Other than that, it was still dark and grey. Strangely, Nagisa had stopped minding it. He felt like it might be his new instincts talking, but it felt almost like he belonged.

Nagisa reached out a slender hand and trailed it along the wall. From what he could gather, he was in some sort of huge house. He'd wandered through passages for a bit, surrounded by grey walls, until he'd found a staircase. There was one bored-looking demon, who got caught off-guard when Nagisa appeared and slashed through him with a knife.

After that, Nagisa rushed up the stairs and found the first window. It was a hard grey-stained glass, showcasing the burning scenery of hell.

Pleasant.

Nagisa was seriously missing his home, and Karma. God, he missed the demon more than he ever thought he would. The angel had to pause for a moment.

He'd almost forgotten how they'd first met. None of them ever predicted they'd fall in love, yet here they were. It was some twisted love story. Nagisa smiled to himself slightly.

As he turned down yet another hallway, Nagisa began to notice how extremely fancy it seemed to be here. Everything had a darkly elegant look to it, and the shadows seemed to ooze power.

Just where was he exactly?

"Ah, Nagi is it?"

Nagisa jumped, pulling a knife towards the voice. The blonde girl standing there held her hands up placatingly with a smirk. "Woah! I'm not trying to hurt you."

"What do you want?" Nagisa asked, still clenching the knife.

The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder as she turned. "Follow me, Nagi. Satan would like an audience with you, and unfortunately you can't refuse."

-

Karma was getting tired of walking. He'd formulated some sort of plan-if you could call it that.

Find Satan's castle. Find Nagisa. Get the hell out. Maybe kill Asano while at it.

Flawless.

Karma scoffed. Normally, he was quite decent with coming up with plans on the spot. But Nagisa, Nagisa.

Karma's thoughts were swamped with the angel. It was all he could think about. For once, even since he'd became a demon, he'd found someone he truly cared about. Someone he wanted to protect.
With a new wave of rage at Asano for taking Nagisa away from him, Karma moved on.

"Oh my~ Is that Karma Akabane walking around here?" A voice drawled dramatically. Karma looked up to see a familiar redhead.

"Ahh long time no see, Grell," he hummed in greeting.

"What brings you to this side of hell?" Grell asked curiously, dropping down next to him.

Karma turned to him. "Looking for something I lost."

Grell gasped. "Is it your true love perhaps? Oh how wonderful~!"

Karma couldn't help but smirk at how right the grim reaper was. "Ahh, well-" but Grell wasn't done.

"Did your lover get sucked into the depths of hell, never to be seen again? And alas, you'll never be able to give them a kiss again! Oh how terrible, how tragic! Such a horrid fate! It's like how my dear Bassy will never love me  ba-"

Grell was cut off as Karma threw an only slightly playful punch to his gut. "Sorry Grell," he hummed, his golden eyes glittering with impatience, "I need to go."

This was not ending in a tragic love story, and the more he sat here the more time he wasted. Karma didn't change into a demon by choice, and now that he'd finally found someone to love for the rest of demonhood, no one was going to take them away.

-

Satan was a lot different than Nagisa had expected. For one, he looked short and weak. His hair was a pure obsidian black, and he wore tight-fitting clothes and a cape edged with gold. Yet the angel knew very well looks were deceiving.

Satan's eyes were also a pure black, the most unsettling part of him. They swirled like voids, like he could kill you with a stare.

"Ah, so here's the famous Nagi," Satan purred, his voice rich and smooth, amusement lighting his tone.

Nagisa stood still, unsure what he was supposed to do. "H-hello..."

"No need to be so scared," Satan replied, amused. "I don't see why everyone always is."

The blonde demon scoffed from behind Nagisa. Both ignored her.

"Um... if you don't mind me asking, why do you all call me Nagi?" Nagisa inquired, still not reassured that Satan wouldn't just kill him with a simple wave of his hand.

"Asano, bratty little demon, came to me asking if I knew a Nagi so he could hunt them-you- down. Of course, I couldn't tell him anything because he only told me "Nagi". You can't find anyone with just Nagi." Satan rolled his eyes, like he was disappointed in Asano's stupidity.

Was it Karma who had let part of his name slip? It must've been, because no one else would stop halfway through his name, and if anyone could predict what Asano would do, it would be the redheaded demon.

Satan seemed to be studying Nagisa's reactions. "It's seems like he's managed to find you anyway, Nagisa Shiota. Luckily you aren't in any harm here." He gave a razor sharp smile, one that was dangerous yet it fit. Still Nagisa felt himself take a step backwards nervously.

Satan chuckled. "Oh, no need to be afraid, little angel. I am telling the truth. Another death of an angel," he scoffed, "nothing I haven't seen before, so I have no interest in seeing it again. However..."

The powerful devil leaned forward, his black eyes beginning to change a molten red.

"One of my most powerful demons- a youngster nonetheless, but still extremely mature- falling in love with an angel? Just what did he see in you?"

Nagisa could feel the atmosphere shift, becoming a threatening curiosity.

"You can take your time answering," Satan waved a dismissive, slender hand.
"But while you think on that, why does Asano want you so bad?"

-=+=-

Hey... I've been in a... depressing mindset. I've been having ups and downs in my mood and overthinking everything that crosses my mind. I'm sorry for the slow updates, but I hope you at least like them and continue to.

Have a good weekend~
