Chapter 14

Jolene's P.O.V.

"Cake?! Is that you?!" I asked in astonishment. This can't be real.

Her eyes suddenly filled with recognition at my words. "Jolene?!" She asked back amazed, and what seemed happily. In that moment I knew this was real. It was really her.

I rushed forward and gave her a hug. "I can't believe it!" I exclaimed.

"Neither can I!" She replied. I could feel Flame's confused stare on my back, but I didn't care.

"Somebody care to explain what's going on?" Sky asked. I jumped back from the hug.

"Umm..." Cake murmured. I guess I'll need to explain this.

"Guys, this is Cake. We were friends in our town before one day when we were little she just kinda disappeared without a trace. That all happened before I found out about this." As I say 'this' my motion to my wings and tail that had appeared while I was talking.

"Before she wore the mask." Cake added.

"That still doesn't explain what she's doing here." Sky stated. I didn't know that part so I just shrugged.

"I had seen you 2 ridding your horses down the road followed by another one, and I didn't pay much attention to that." I knew she was talking about Sky and Olivia for the beginning. "Well, I didn't pay much attention until a large shadow passed over me. By large I mean lager than a bird's. I looked up to see a girls with dragon wings and a tail flying over head. I started to follow you at a small distance, but when the squids attacked you I didn't think you would take kindly to seeing a new person pop up out of nowhere." I patted her back, and she smiled at me. Sky raised his eyebrow in disbelief, and Flame seemed a little wary of Cake period.

"Shall we get going?" Olivia asked. "We still have a few hours until sundown."

"Oh ya! Cake we're going on an adventure! Do you wanna come with us?" I exclaim. How could I forget about trying to save team crafted from the squids?

"Umm... What kind of an adventure?" Cake asked nervously. Let's just say we went on some weird and dangerous adventures as kids, I don't think she's forgiven me about that one yet. I can't blame her tho.

"We're going to save team crafted!" Sky declared. Cake looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"It's a long story. I'll explain on the way." I said. Cake nodded and I pulled out the map. "Okay!" I said. "We go that way!" I pointed east.

Cake peered at the map over my shoulder. "You holding the map upside down." She whispered into my ear.

"Oops." I muttered flipping the map over. "Never mind!" I said louder. "We go this way!" I turned to the west and started walking. I could hear the others laughing behind me. Not super loud, but I could still hear it.

Cake ran up to walk beside me. "So what happened with team crafted?" She asked. I took a deep breath and started to tell her what happened.
