Chapter 23

Memories flash through my mind. From what I gather, I was born a squid hybrid, but something happened so that I'm more than that. Squids lived in peace and harmony until a man named 'SkyDoesMinecraft', or Sky for short, came and attacked us for no reason. We fought only in self defence, but whenever any hybrid went into a town they were attacked and thrown out. Not only did Sky and his kingdom do it, but also all of his team and his sister.

We had managed to capture the team and my age group was taking care of them. I wasn't able to join in before because I was always having extra practice of some sort, or I was at a council meeting with the squid council, or I was doing something for the king. I'm not sure why I was so favoured by the higher ranking squids, but it might be because of the part of me that's more than a squid hybrid. I've never known what it is though.

Me and all of the other hybrids my age were practicing fight so we could use it if we were ever attacked. I had been battling one of the biggest hybrids in our age group, who sometimes liked to pick on others. I can't really remember exactly what happened, but one minute I was wining, the next I was laying on the ground, struggling to stay awake while I heard somebody yelling.

I gasped as the memories caught up to before I woke up on this bed. This was my room. Parts of the memories felt familiar, but for most of them, something inside me said it wasn't true. They weren't mine. But they obviously were. I mean come on, it explains so much!

"So were is my age group?" I asked.

"They're in the team crafted holding room." The man said. I had never been in that room, nor do I really know anything about the team, except for that their killers of innocent squids and squid hybrids.

"Can I go to them?" I asked. I kinda wanted to see the team, the thing inside me told me the were an important part of my past, but I've never seen them before.

"Sure. You're going to have to be assigned a member to look after though." The man nodded. I smiled.

"Okay." I said getting up off my bed. For some reason I actually couldn't wait to see the team.

I followed the man out of my room and down hallways I now remembered by heart. I was so glad that they were able to find a way to give me back my memories.

We stopped in front of a set of double doors I had often passed, but never actually gone through. "Here we are." The man said. I nodded my head in appreciation to him.

"Thanks." I muttered before turning and walking through the doors, the man following close behind.

The man walked up to my teacher and I stood by the golden cage in the middle of the room. This must be for Sky. I wonder why neither him, nor his sister were here.

The teacher called me over and I obliged. "You can be a part of the group that's doing the sorcerer." She told me. I nodded off and walked over to the cage the teacher had motioned to.

"Hi guys!" I smiled. The other 2 that were in my group smiled back while the sorcerer, who I saw by a clipboard on the cage, who's name was Seto looking up at me with an alarmed expression on his face.

Everyone else was leaving, and I was about to too when the sorcerer asked me a question. "Can you understand me." I nodded not knowing why he was asking me that question.

"What even is that Seto?" A guy with headphones asked.

"It's draconic. The only dragon tounge I can speak, though there are many more." Seto told him. Dragon? What?

"I'm going to go now." I said uncomfortably while walking awkwardly towards the door.

"Jolene! Wait!" Somebody with a big green tie called after me. Jolene. That name felt right. Then it struck me that nobody had called me by a name that I could remember. I couldn't remember my name from before waking up, and nobody had used a name to talk to me since then. Was Jolene my name?

"What?" I asked turning around.

"At least she remembers her name." said a guy in a spacesuit.

"Please try to remember us." Said somebody in a red and black checked hoodie.

"I'm leaving." I said, creeped out. I rushed out of the room before anyone could say anything else. I hurried back to my room and when I got there I flopped down on my bed. Who was I? I was starting to doubt my memories, and I was able to find gaps in them. Why did team crafted, and the room they were in look familiar even though I had never been in there before? Howcome, out of everyone, they know my name? How does that image I saw earlier connect with anything?

I fell asleep thinking about such things.

I wrote this thing in a few hours in one night, after a Friday school day I might add. Because of social class I can't stop thinking about the Japanese culture and for some weird reason I decided to watch an episode of Pokemon X and Y in Japanese with subtitles. I'm a weirdo. Bai!
