Chapter 18

We had been traveling for almost the whole day and I was currently flying. I got really tired of walking, plus from up here I would be able to see civilization from up here. This trip was getting boring and Star was probably upset at the fact that strangers were riding her. On the upside we were able to see new places.

Then something caught my eye. If I was on the ground I would have jumped for joy. I wasn't on the ground tho, so instead I did a loop. I swooped down towards the ground and towards the others. "Guys!" I called. "There's civilization up ahead!" I saw Star leap up for joy, while others whooped happily. We hadn't seen anybody else except for each other since we set out this morning so we were glad to see more people.

~~--TIME SKIP TILL THE TOWN CAUSE I'M LAZY~~--

We rush towards the town. I had landed just before the town came in sight on the ground so that nobody there would see my powers. Even tho my armour was a golden yellow because I was so happy. Sky looked over and grinned. "That is so awesome!" He exclaimed slowing down.

Olivia looked over to see what he was talking about and she also smiled while coming to a complete halt along with the rest of us. "Well at least people won't question why your with us." She told me.

"Why's that?" I asked extremely confused.

"You're armour being budder coloured will make people think you're one of Sky's recruits who is guarding him or something." She explained, then she turned to the others. "On the other hand we'll have to find something to not draw suspicion to you."

"Umm... Why?" Brave asked.

"Because if the squids are around we don't want them to know how many people we have with us. You know, element of surprise." Sky pitched in.

"How about we pretend to be a small group of friends that are traveling the world together?" Cake suggested.

"Yeah!" Olivia smiled. "The squids are probably to stupid to figure anything out." We smiled at that.

"Okay, so we'll go in and then you 3 can wait for about hour before follow us." Flame suggested.

"That works." I said.

"Now all we have to do is keep Sky entertained for that long." Olivia sighed.

"What was that?" Sky asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Nothing." Olivia murmured.

"Star, I want you to go with them." I told her.

"Why?" She nickered sounding upset.

"Because it wouldn't make sense for 3 people to be traveling without any bags. At least you have some saddle bags so that might remove some suspicion. I know it's my stuff, but I can go without it for however long we'll be there." I explained.

"I don't want to leave you! Who knows what could happen?!" She protested.

"Please. Do it for me. You know I can take care of myself." I pleaded.

"Fine." She muttered as she flicked her ears. I turned away to everybody staring at me.

"What?" I asked. Instantly the gawking was replaced with the normal kind of conversation kind of look.

"So what was with the horse sounds?" Cake asked.

"I can speak to animals and mobs." I told her. "Star is going to go with you 3 while we'll stay here for a while."

"Off we go then." Flame said and her, Cake and Brave turned and walked away. Brave held a lead that was around Star's neck. It wasn't tight because it was just there to make it look like he was pulling her along. Star could follow them just fine without it, but with the threat of the squids...

~~--TIME SKIP SO IT'S ABOUT AN HOUR LATER~~--

"Can we go yet?" Sky asked. I jumped down from the branch I was sitting on.

"Yes. Finally." I replied.

"Yes!" Olivia sighed.

"Let's hurry!" I said impatiently. Olivia and Sky jumped onto their horses before we headed out at walking speed. We would have gone faster but the whole suspicion thing. I looked down to check my armour was still golden. Check. I just have to hope it doesn't change when we're in the town, that could be really bad.

We calmly walked up to the town's main gate. I lead the way making it look like I was a warrior/guard person. "Who goes there?!" A sentry yelled down at us.

"I, the Budder King!" Sky yelled back up. He sure does love to yell. "I am traveling with the Snow Princess and one of my Budder Warriors! We seek refuge for the night and wish to restock our supplies!" Sky was being formal. This was new to me. Lets just say he's been acting like a goofball since I met him. Also, he said I was one of his Budder Warriors. Does he mean that I can be one? Or was that all part of him pretending?

"I'm sorry your majesty, I did not recognize any of you through the dirt you have gathered over your travels." The guard apologized. So much formality! This is awkward for me because being an outcast you don't really learn fancy manners or anything of the sort.

The gate opened before us and a weird feeling creeped up my back. Something wasn't right. I mean this town looks perfectly normal and fine, streets were crowded with people buying and selling, but something didn't feel right and I couldn't put my finger on it. Danger maybe?

I turned to Sky and Olivia. "Something about this place doesn't feel right." I warned them.

"It's probably nothing." Sky shrugged, but I could tell that Olivia wasn't quite in agreement with that. She looked a little unsettled as she sat on her horse. At least I wasn't the only one who had a ad feeling about this place.

I sighed as we walked towards the town square.
