Chapter 24

Jolene's P.O.V. (normal -well, semi-normal, cause she's a weirdo- Jolene, not squid)

I looked around in surprise. I was still surrounded by darkness, but I could feel my limbs. I looked down at myself to see that my armour was all rainbowy and stuff. Looking back I could see that my wings and tail were also there, and that they were also rainbowy. Between my armour and my dragon limbs, I must have every colour for every dragon that was a part of me.

A sand coloured stone appeared under my feet. I looked around to see obsidian pillars with weird crystal things on top all across the weird stone platform. There was also a portal made of bedrock on the centre of the platform. I noticed that the sky was still black.

I flew up onto one of the obsidian pillars. Maybe if I look around I can figure out where I am. I half jumped, half flew over to another nearby pillar. I repeated the action a few times until I heard a dragon roar.

I looked around to see a black and purple dragon flying straight towards me. The Enderdragon. Does that mean I'm in the End?

The dragon stopped right in front of me, flying beside the pillar. "Welcome to the end." The Enderdragon said. Well, that was an easy answer to my question.

"Why am I here?" I asked politely.

"You'll see." It replied.

Suddenly I heard more dragons roar. I looked around to see every type of dragon I was, appearing out of the darkness that surrounded the floating island. They were all coming here. I watched as they landed and surrounded the portal. Why the portal?

I jumped as all the dragons roared at the same time. If I weren't half dragon then I myself might be hearing impaired now, but dragons are used to this kind of sound, so it doesn't bug them. I watched in awe as a girl began to fade into sight on top of the bedrock pillar sticking out of the portal.

I gasped from where I stood. It was me. The only difference is that the girl's hair, armour, and mask were all squid blue. I shuddered. That's the squid version of myself, loyal to squids.

"Come." The Enderdragon said flying down to the group of dragons. I hopped down and walked into the crowd of dragons just as the squid me opened her eyes.

I opened my eyes. I didn't want to since it must still be night to to the darkness, but I did for some reason. I jumped where I stood, glad that I did too. I saw that I stood on a pole made of some sort of strange rock that was surrounded by an inky black portal that looked like it had stars in it. It was actually kinda beautiful. I looked around to see black rock pillars, a strange sand coloured stone, and crystals of some sort on top of the pillars. What both terrified me, and yet for some reason also made me feel safe, was the presences of all sorts of dragons. I only recognized one from some of my memories of class times, who knew that would be helpful. The one I recognized was the ender dragon.

"Hello." A royal blue coloured dragon said. I did my best not to squeak in surprise and fright.

"Well. It looks like the serum really did have a strong effect." A golden dragon said.

"Good work Sherlock." A black dragon with dark grey features said sarcastically to the golden one. Then it looked through the crowd. "Otherwise she wouldn't be here." At first I thought the dragon was talking about me, but then I realized that it had pointed with it's tail to something I couldn't see.

I tilted my head in confusion, not wanting to talk. The dragons seemed to talk notice, because one bent it's head down for some reason, and others shuffled just a little bit. I wondered why, after all, another dragon won't be able to fit between them, plus the could just fly over.

I understand as a girl with multicoloured armour that looked like mine, dragon tail and wings, walked out from in among the dragon crowd.

Jolene's P.O.V.

I walked out of the crowd of dragons. They had told me that I should confront myself, that I'm my only hope. It all sounds so confusing, and in a way, it is. "Hi." I said meekly.

"Come on." I heard one of the dragons say. The other dragons murmur stuff along the same lines.

"I never said I was a people person! Kay?" I turned and yelled half jokingly at the dragons.

When I looked back at the squid version of myself, I saw a smile on her face. I made a silly bowing motion in her direction and she laughed. It feels weird that I'm entertaining myself.

"Who are you?" She asks suddenly. My face falls in a frown.

"I'm you." I said. "Before the squids got to me, or us, or you. It's hard to explain."

"But I'm a squid hybrid." She protested. I shuddered. "I have been and always will be."

"No!" I yelled, unable to help myself. "You may be one now, but it wasn't always this way!"

"Then what was I?" The girl challenged.

"A multi-dragon hybrid. You were me. I was rejected from my own town when they found out about my powers. I was alone and unwanted by most except a few friends until team crafted came." I paused, my anger for squids starting to come out. "Then the squids attacked! Only me and team crafted fought them! I helped save Sky and Olivia! We saved the town from the squids! We were going to stop squids from hurting anyone else and save team crafted when one night I was caught by the squids and injected with a serum that made me lose my memory and become a squid! Basically they forced me out, and then you came!" I was fuming and the squid me looked scared. I could tell her emotions better than anyone else, after all we were almost one in the same.

"No." The squid version of me replied in shock. "No." Her voice became more firm. "Squids only fight in self-defence. Team crafted attacked us, so we captured them so they could do is no more harm. Sky and his sister got away from the attack because one of their warriors help them escape."

"Then how do you explain the captured town in the Budder kingdom, the squids attacking my town, only because team crafted was there, and how about when we were sneak attacked when we were traveling down a road? Huh?" The squid me looked confused.

"That never happened."

"Yes it did!" I waved my hand in annoyance.

Suddenly the scene around both of us disappeared, to be replaced with what looked to be my memory of the day the squids attacked my town when team crafted was there. I watched as the squid me's face changed to a confused sort of horror we watched the scene unfold.

Then it disappeared when the memory was over, fading back into the dragon filled End."Y-you saved them." She said. "We were the ones who attacked, completely unprovoked."

"No." I replied. She looked at me with confusion. "We saved them. You are me, and I am you. The only difference is that you are the result of me being injected with a fluid that made me loose my memory, become a squid hybrid, and be loyal to the squids."

"I shouldn't exist. I'm an absence of a person." The squid me looked close to tears.

"No. You should exist. It's my fault I was attacked. I was taken by surprise and should have been focusing more on my surroundings. It was fate that created you." She looked up at me.

"Really?"

I nodded. "Everything that exists has a purpose." She smiled at me. Then she started to fade away. "You should be able to return here! Just think about this place as you fall asleep and you should be able to come back!" I yelled.

"Okay!" I heard her yell back in reply.

After she disappeared completely, I turned to the crowd of dragons. "So..." I trailed off. "What do we do now?"
