Chapter 15

Jolene's P.O.V.

Cake stared at me wide eyed as I finished my story. "Please don't tell the others about my weird dreams with the jail thing." I pleaded.

"You can trust me." Cake told me. "I still can't believe that's all happened."

"Well you better believe it because its true." I told her.

"Hey guys we're stoping here for the night!" Flame yelled from behind us. What? I looked up at the sky to see that it was already getting dark. Wow time flys fast when you tell stories.

"Come on! Race ya!" Cake smiled as she started running towards the others.

"No fair you got a head start!" I called after her.

"Everything's fair!" I heard her call over her shoulder. A grin broke out across my face as I heard that.

I stretched out my wings that had just appeared and jumped into the air as I was running. Within a few flaps of my wings I had already caught up to Cake. I smiled and waved as I flew past her.

I landed on the ground and shouted in victory. "I win!"

"No fair! You cheated!" Cake huffed at me as she stopped beside me.

I stuck my younger out at her. "Everything's fair." I stated. She sighed as I quoted her.

"We're running low on food." Sky's muffled voice came from inside his saddle bag. He pulled his head out and frowned. "This is all I got left." He showed us the few loaves of bread.

"That's because you're a pig Adam." Olivia retorted.

"Reeeeeee! Reeeeeeee! Wheezy!" Sky replied. We all burst out laughing.

"I'll go hunting!" I yelled grabbing my bow and holding it tightly in my hand.

"Okay! Then I'll go fishing!" Brave said. "We passed a lake not to far back!"

"I'll get the fire started!" Flame volunteered.

"Then I guess the rest of us will do the tents or whatever?" Cake said. Sky and Olivia nodded.

"I'll hunt around the lake. There are probably some animals around there." I stated. Brave nodded.

"Bye!" We yelled at the same time while jogging back the direction we had just come from.

"I betcha I could beat you to the lake!" I challenged.

"I could beat you even if you cheated!" Brave replied.

"Cheat? I would never!" I pretended to be hurt. He just smiled at me and took off running. Here we go again.

I jumped into the air. Right after I passed him I turned back to wave at him but there was one problem with that, he wasn't there. I turned to look over at the lake to see a white light die down and Brave standing there where it had been, grinning.

"What? How?" I asked when I reached him.

"You're not the only one with powers." He smiled and walked over to the lake. I jumped as a fishing rod appeared out of thin air in his hands. I shook my head. Okay then...

~~--TIME SKIP TO CAMP CAUSE STUFF~~--

Flame was cooking the first fish over the fire, which smelt great by the way, when I heard a meow. It was faint behind the crackling fire, but it was still there. I noticed Flame perk up to. At least I know I didn't imagine it.

"Anyone know where the meow came from?" I asked. Flame shrugged and almost everyone else gave me confused looks. By almost everyone else I mean Olivia sun deny jumped to her feet in alarm.

"Snowy!" She cried. She ran over to her horse and I gave Sky a quizzical look. Ge shrugged and I turned my attention back to Olivia. "Oh my gosh Snowy! I'm so sorry!" She said as she pulled an adorable white kitten out of one of her saddle bags. "Could you toss me some raw fish?" Olivia asked. Brave literally tossed a few over the fire and into Olivia's hands. I'm surprised that they didn't get burnt because Flame had made quite the fire.

Olivia nodded her thanks and then gave the fish to Snowy. Snowy rubbed Olivia's hand and purred before going to eat the fish. I couldn't help myself, I squealed it was so cute. I wasn't the only one who squealed. Cake did too.

~~--TIME SKIP CAUSE THE NOTHING INTERESTING HAPPENS HERE~~--

"Goodnight!" Sky yelled in a weird voice from where he was laying. We all continued to say goodnight to each other until we got to Olivia.

"Goodnight!" She said in a weird voice then she giggled. "Adam look what you've done!" We all laughed and snuggled into the warmth of our blankets.

I tooled over and looked at Cake who was right next to me. "Can I try something?" I asked.

"What?" She didn't sound like she trusted me.

"It's okay. Can I?" I asked.

She sighed. "Fine."

"Grab my hand." I told her.

"Okay?" She sounded nervous.

"Just do it."

"Alright!"

She grabbed my hand tightly. I hope this works. I closed my eyes and focused.
