If you look at the box art for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team you can see that on the Blue Rescue Team box that they are looking down a hole and in Red Rescue Ream they are looking up at a hole. This is a reference to Blue Rescue Team being played on the top part of the Nintendo DS. And Red Rescue Team being played on the bottom part of the Nintendo DS.
