Megan's POV

Matt and I haven't talked since the incident that happened the day of the scavenger hunt. I guess it finally got to him what I meant when I felt betrayal. The hurt look in his eyes, that's how I felt for the last 2 months.

Homecoming was around the corner, and despite the perks of having a sweetheart for a boyfriend, I'm still going single. Jared told me that he planned on having extra hours for his current job since I had said no the day he asked me. That just meant that I didn't plan on going, like every other year. When I told my group of friends this, they weren't pleased.

"Jared and I don't plan on going to the homecoming dance this year," I explained, Jared sitting beside me and taking a bite into his sandwich.

"I can not believe this nonsense!" Bianca exclaimed, staring at the two of us like we were aliens from another planet. "You guys are seniors, and you aren't going to the last homecoming dance you could ever have here. Not to mention, Megan has never been to a single dance." I just shrugged my shoulders, ignoring the looks I was receiving from Jared.

"You've never been to a dance? Aw, now I feel bad," Jared pouted, hooking his arm around my waist. He pulled me closer to him, twisting our legs together.

"Waste of $14." Anna shook her head, looking at me like I was being silly.

"You wouldn't know, you've never been to a dance," Anna pointed out, sounding pleased with her statement.

"Good point," I smiled, "Who are you going with this year?"

"The one and only Cameron O'Donnell," she grinned, a squeal escaping her mouth.

Introducing Cameron O'Donnell, aka as the biggest flirt and possibly the most popular guy in school. (a/n played by Francisco Lanchowski ;) yw) He was adored by pretty much every girl in the school, from freshman to seniors. Not only was he hot, but he gave out this mysterious bad boy vibe that just made you want to solve his puzzle.

"You did not!" Bianca squealed with her, her smile wide.

"Congratulations Anna!" I cheered, wondering how she even scored a guy like him to homecoming. I looked down at the group, a bit sad that Jared couldn't take me.

"Who are you going with Bi?" (a/n pronounced like bee) She just smiled, a rosy tint on her dark cheeks.

"I'm going with Ben," she smiled to herself, her longtime crush that she had for 4 years finally asked her out. (a/n played by aiden alexander)

"Oh my god I ship it!" Anna exclaimed, Damian and Jaden walking towards the table.

"Ladies, ladies. The rumor is true. Yours truly is no longer on the marker. Ship us as much as you'd like but we all know you're all jealous," Damian cockily presented himself, making the three of us roll our eyes.

"Who would be stupid enough to go out with an idiot like you?" I giggled, leaning my head onto Jared's shoulder.

"Oh stop it with the cuteness," Damian playfully scrunched up his nose in disgust, his comment making me blush.

"Sorry, no can do Damian," Jared chuckled, pecking my lips. I smiled at him, looking into his eyes. Things really were better when it came to a guy like Jared.

"Take your PDA, elsewhere," Damian complained, making the two of us laugh. "Anyways, I finally asked Ariella to homecoming, as well as to be my girlfriend." He smiled proudly, the three of us fake squealing.
