♡ Megan's POV ♡
"That movie was so good!" I exclaimed, walking out of the theater with Jaden. He agreed, nodding his head.
"Wonder woman was a total bad ass, as always," Jaden cooed. I nodded.
"Not gonna lie, I'd go lesbian for her," I agreed, taking a sip from my soda. We headed towards the connector to the mall, in look for some ice cream.
"Well, if we're admitting our gay love for superheroes," Jaden teased, pausing dramatically. I let out a small giggle, a content look on his face when I did. "I'd totally tap Superman."
"That's a good choice, but I feel like he'd destroy you in bed," I said like it was a casual conversational topic. Jaden gave me a funny look before bursting out in laughter. We exited the theater, heading towards Cold Stone Creamery.
"I mean it's better than the others I'd imagine," Jaden started. "The Flash would finish at the speed of lightning."
"And Batman's grunting would sound way too deep to be human," I added.
"I'll just stick with Wonder Woman," Jaden chuckled. People around us were starting to give us strange looks as we stood in line at Cold Stone Creamery, debating which superhero would be best in bed.
"I'll take her dead boyfriend. Chris Pine was pretty hot," I grinned.
"Wonder woman wouldn't let that happen," Jaden remarked, challenging me. He gave me an intimidating look, narrowing his eyes. I stood up to this, getting closer and crossing my arms with the same look. We moved in line this way the entire time, people still giving us weird looks but we didn't really care.
"Well, she'd ditch you for him anyway," I retaliated, smirking.
"Are you implying we'd do each other while they're together?" Jaden chuckled, making me shake my head quickly.
"No way," I shook my head, backing down quickly.
"Figured," Jaden shrugged. We were next in line, so I examined the row of ice cream flavors on display.
"We're best friends anyway," I said, smiling at him. I was taking a long shot, despite knowing what I actually knew. "That'd never happen between us because we're friends til the end." Jaden nodded, his eyes avoiding mine as he looked straight ahead.
"You don't know the half of it," he muttered, still avoiding my gaze.
I knew what he meant, but I wanted to hear him say it himself. I was about to question him about it, but I got cut off.
"Hello, welcome to Cold Stone Creamery. What can I get for you guys?"the worker repeated her usual line, drained. She took notice of Jaden and began to flirtatiously lean over the counter, towards us.
"Yeah, can I get a medium sized cookie dough ice cream with sprinkles?" I ordered. She just nodded, shaking me off completely. Her full attention was on the boy beside me, and for some reason that made my blood boil.
"Yeah, sure- whatever," she replied, twirling her hair between her fingers and smiling flirtatiously at Jaden. He shifted his weight from one leg to the other uncomfortably, backing away from the counter slightly.
"Medium sized birthday cake mix for me, please," Jaden muttered, looking down at the flavors.
"Sure thing," the girl winked, getting right to work. She motioned us to the cash register where we were supposed to wait. She made Jaden's first, piling the sprinkles on top heavily. She handed me my cup, barely filled with anything.
"Uh, I ordered cookie dough, not cotton candy," I said, looking at her. She looked at me stupidly.
"I'm pretty sure I heard you say cotton candy," she replied, typing it all into the cash register. She smiled at Jaden again.
