"Hey, man, what are you doing?" Murtaugh walked over towards me and lightly hit my arm.

"Staring at the other half of me." I spoke simply as I rested my chin on my palm, leaning my elbow on my desk.

I watched Deja talk to Cruz about something, she tucked a lose strand of hair behind her ear as she sat on the edge of his desk, reviewing a file.

"Speaking of which-- any idea of a date, yet?" He asked and I inhaled deeply.

"Soon." Was all I spoke.

"You two aren't allowed to elope, alright?" He asked and I smirked as I looked up at him, I slowly nodded, "Sure thing, Rog."

He clicked his tongue before walking over to his desk.

Deja read a file as she walked over towards me, she glanced up and slightly smirked.

I smiled before she looked back down at her file, "Aren't you dressed professionally.." I joked as she wore overalls and a black and white sweater.

"Watch who you're talking to, art-thief-detective coming through." She joked as she sat down at her desk.

I bit back my smile as she sighed heavily and tossed the file that was in her hand, onto the desk.

"I don't even know why I was promoted to homicide." She said as she leaned her head back, staring at the ceiling.

"You'll get your shot in the big leagues-- although I'd much rather be an art-thief-detective." I smiled at her, she tried to hide her smile before she looked over at me.

She picked up the file again and started sweeping through it, as she did so I took her hand in mine- they hung loosely so no one saw that we were breaking a rule.

I walked into my trailer late at night to find a beautiful girl sleeping on my couch.

I closed the door quietly but when I looked at her again she stirred, slowly waking up.

"Sorry, I couldn't sleep at my apartment." She mumbled as she sat up, rubbing her eyes like a two year old.

"Charlie and Jason?" I asked as I set down my keys and firearm on my coffee table.

"No, I actually just couldn't sleep there.. I guess I'm just so used to sleeping next to you." She lightly shrugged as she nervously fumbled with her hands.

"I can go, if you want to sleep alon--" "I'd take sleeping with you over anything and everything right now." I smiled as I sat next her.

She bit back her smile as she looked up at me, I lightly brushed her hair out of her face and brought her lips against mine.

We laid down on the couch, she started playing with my hair.

"You shouldn't work so late.. I miss this." She spoke sweetly and I looked up at her.

"How do you feel about eloping?" I asked out of the blue.

She laughed loudly, almost snorting.

"We're not eloping, let's just get married soon... Like, next weekend." I watched her eyes light up as she talked about us being legally bonded.

"I mean, my siblings are still here, the rest of my family will be here.. Why don't we get married next weekend?" She asked more seriously this time.
