I waited in the hallway for Riggs to show up, since I couldn't catch him in the courtroom.

"Hey." I said standing quickly as I saw him duck into the men's bathroom.

I sighed heavily before I went in after him, "Woah, what the hell?" A man said looking at me before he left the bathroom quickly.

"Why are you running away from me?" I asked as Riggs leaned on the windowsill.

He pulled out his flask and took a quick drink, "Martin?" I spoke loudly, not in the mood to put up with his childlike behavior.

"Where the hell have you been?" He finally spoke up, "I needed you before I went in there and you were nowhere to be seen!" He spoke loudly.

"I-I told you I had to be somewhere." I stammered nervously.

"Deja, I was just hung out to dry out there!" He shouted.

"There wasn't anything I could do!" I said loudly, simply stating the facts.

"I needed you, here. I called your damn phone 20 times!" He said and I sighed, "My phone was on silent because I wa-" "You better have been in church." He scoffed loudly.

"What can I say to make you stop yelling?" I asked in an exasperated tone.

"Tell me where you were, tell me what was more important than supporting me when I needed you." He said with his voice not as loud anymore.

"I-I was signing some papers, which sounds like a terrible excuse." I chuckled lightly.

"What papers?" He asked more curiously than angry.

"Papers that state that I will deal with all of Charlie's affairs when she dies." I said and he gave me a confused look.

"And I signed some other ones that Doctors call A.N.D." I sniffled, "Allowing natural death." I said looking up at him and his face softened immediately.

"Charlie's cancer is back. It's tangled up in her spine." I said and he closed his eyes for a second before walking over towards me.

"Its inoperable. It's inoperable." I said as I started to sob, not having the chance to totally break down with the busy day today, "It's inoperable and she's going to die." I said as he pulled me into a hug, he hushed me softly as I wrapped my arms around his neck, crying on his shoulder.

I yawned as I sat in the office, leaning back into my chair.

"It's definitely him." Scorsese said and I looked over to see him handing Riggs a file.

"I cross-checked the saliva from Cruz's boot with the blood from the impound." He said and I sat up listening to them, "It's Jerry Brant?" I asked in disbelief, Scorsese nodded.

"But, because he's only been arrested as a minor, he wasn't in the system." Scorsese informed us before Riggs handed me the file.

"Good hunch." I said to my husband, "Thank you, sugar." He said and I chuckled as I looked at the file because that was a new nickname.
