Chapter 12...
''Latasha...'' She says surprised. As if it was to good to be true.
But how? Why is she here? I swear if Wesley is behind this I'm going to kill him.
As soon as the idea that this might be his doing pops into my head I look up at him with a look that could kill.
He holds up his hand to show this is not his doing. ''I swear ,Latasha, I didn't know it was her.''
I don't know if I believe him, but I can deal with that later. My mother reaches out to stroke my cheeck, to feel that I'm real and it's not a dream or her mind playing tricks on her. But I pull away at her touch.
''Latasha-'' She begins, but I cut her off.
''Why are you here?''
''My dear.'' She says looking down and pauses for a second, before looking up to continue. ''We nead to talk. In private.''
I hesitate, but I need some answers and maybe she could give me some. I look up at Wesley to help me finalise my decision.
He nods at me and I take that as a yes. ''Come in miss Acsencuo.'' He says closing the door behind her, keeping the cold from coming in.
''Please call me Miranda.''
''This way,'' Wesley says placing his hand on the small of my back and I tense a bit at his touch. ''there will be privacy in my study.''
Wesley leads us upstairs to his study. We enter and he locks the door behind him to make sure no one intrudes.
''With all do respect Alpha, I was hoping to talk to my daughter alone.''
''He's not going to leave.'' I say with a sigh.
''I'm sorry Miranda, but I have the need to protect your daughter.''
''Are you mates?'' She asked excited, but sad at the thought that she missed me grow up.
''Mates, no. Mated, yes. I'm I rogue remember? I don't have a mate.'' I say before Wesley can say anything.
''But, how did this happen?'' She asked confused and sits down on one of the chairs.
''My abusive father you left me with basically sold me to him.'' I emphasize in the word you.
''What?'' She says in shock, barely hard enough for us to hear.
Wesley seems tense as I look at him. I go sit on his chair and he stands behind me, calming down. He's wolf is making him protective over me and he's tense because I'm mad.
I know she's my mother, but why did she leave me with them? I sure was planning on finding out.
My mom looks up at me. Wesley is standing behind me, holding onto the back of the chair. Her gaze travels from me to him.
''You have some explaining to do.'' I say snapping her gaze back to me. ''Why are you here?''
''I came here for protection. This is the only pack strong enough to protect me.''
''Why?'' Wesley asks.
But she doesn't answer him, she answers me. ''You're father and I were not really mates.''
''I know. Wesley told me that part.''
''Okay, so I left because I found my real mate.''
''And you just left me with them. You could've taken me with you.''
''I couldn't. You would have slowed me down and you're father would have caught me.''
''So you chose a simple mate over you're own daughter.'' I say getting mad. I almost jumped up, but Wesley placed his hand om my shoulder, keeping me down.
