Sesshomaru x Reader (pt. 1)

I had decided in the middle of this to make it a two part series since it was going to be so long lol so the next part will be coming really soon after this one! (even though I am terribly bad at updates) This will actually be updated within the next couple of days, if not the next.

So I have two ideas that will just not leave my mind haha one is a Hetalia x reader and then there is this one. I couldn't decide which to do first, but since I was having a hard time knowing exactly which country I wanted to pick for the Hetalia fanfiction to be about, I just decided to go with this one for now since it was already set in stone what I wanted to write lol

Traveling with the Lord of the Western Lands could be tiring, if not incredibly dangerous. When you weren't running from one side of the lands to another searching for Naraku, or getting caught in fights with Sesshomaru and his younger half demon brother InuYasha, other enemies of Naraku's were chasing after you. Something about you had been clearly important to Naraku and he tried in every way to steal you away from Sesshomaru.

It had been months since you had fallen down into that well after your friend Kagome, seeing her run in there with a man that was dressed rather oddly in red clothes. However, once you stumbled upon on the other side and was introduced to the world of the Feudal Era, all your questions were (for the most part) resolved.

You were a bit older than your friend though, being a third year at the local school, and not to mention you were foreign. Back in your realm you had lived alone in an apartment in the country side of Osaka and while you were completely fluent in Japanese, you had actually been from (chosen country). This causing you to catch the eye of every foul creature, or villian of Sesshomaru's around. However long you had been following so loyally behind this great dog demon, you couldn't truly remember what had drawn you to him so desperately. All of Kagome's friends spoke so lowly of him, telling how he was vile and cruel, nothing good came from him and he only wished ill upon InuYasha.

While this was not an incorrect statement from Sango, Miroku, Kaede, InuYasha, and Shippo, there was just something you couldn't let go about this interesting Lord Sesshomaru and the next thing you knew you had been ensuing him devotedly ever since. This could be because of Rin needing a womanly figure in her life, to help her and keep her safe. That had been what Sesshomaru had told you when he agreed to let you tag along anyway.

Throughout the months of tiring journey's, the ridiculously petty fights with his younger brother, and the dangerous perils you were thrown into because of Sesshomaru's seemingly selfish motives, you had fallen madly in love with the white haired dog demon. His stoic expression, the way his voice was confident and never wavered even in a stressful situation, and how protective he could be over Rin just made your heart melt. The great demon rumored to be cold, relentless, unyielding, and even callous, truly possessed a warm and gentle heart. Very seldom did one ever see it, however, you had to look very close to witness the kindness he owned.

You knew for certain your feelings would never be returned. How could they? You were a human from another realm, and he was a demon lord. Even if none of that was an issue, Sesshomaru's pride would allow him to die alone before he would ever claim a human as a mate. You had learned from Jaken that it was due to InuYasha's mother that ruined his affiliation with humans and half breeds, finding them disloyal and disgusting. The mere idea that you had feelings for him would absolutely loathsome to Lord Sesshomaru, and you knew it.
