Sarah's Pov

My legs ached for the running to stop. Coach encouraged the team to run at least 10 laps around the 50 meter track. I began to slow down only to have Bethany, my blonde-headed best friend, to jog at my side.

"Why aren't you running, Sarah?" Beth asked.

"My legs are hurting like hell." I breathed.

"I'll walk with you then." She smiled at me, her perfect teeth setting off a warm atmosphere.

"Thanks." I flashed back a smile to her. "How was your date with Daniel last night?" The question fell from my pink lips before I could stop it.

"Oh! Right! It was great. We met up at the Restaurant, which happened to be O'Charley's. We ordered our food, we ate and then we went over to his house for a while. I met his Mom, Bella, first then his sister who's in 8th Grade, her name is Silvia and then his Dad I didn't get to meet yet. We are thinking about going out again this weekend if you want to come over and help me get ready." She grinned wildly at the thought of her date with her Junior Boyfriend.

Bethany and I were only Sophomores so Daniel was a grade above us. We all started to hang out around last year and Beth and Daniel automatically clicked after the first date.

I may or may not have gotten them together on purpose.

I started walking out of the gym locker rooms in my regular outfit. Which consisted of a black sweater, dark wash skinny jeans, and black converse. My black hair was in a loose pony tail that flowed down in between my shoulder blades.

"Sarah!" I heard my name being called from the hallway.

I turned around and saw, another, one of my best friends - Nathan. I smiled at him and waited for him to catch up.

He walked closer to me; I could get a better glimpse of him. He was wearing a blue Nike t-shirt, a dark blue jean jacket covering his muscled arms, black jeans and white converse - that were still surprisingly clean for him being a baseball player. His jet black hair was styled into a small quiff, angled to the side. His smile bringing light to my eyes. His ice blue eyes created a bright aura compared to my dark blue ones.

"Hey, Nathan!" I hugged him before releasing, having our hands connect. We weren't a thing, but I think that it's fine to have one of your best friends, who's a guy, to have some affection for their best friend, who's a girl - or vise versa.

"How are you?" He asked, walking at a good pace with me.

"Good. My legs hurt though." I whine.

My feet were swept from underneath me. I look up to see Nathan carrying me to my locker.

I laughed. "What are you doing?" A smile swept across my lips.

He chuckled, the vibration going through his chest. "You said your legs hurt, so I thought I'd carry you since we just had the last class." He smiled down at me, setting me back down on the tiled floor in front of my locker.

"See you in a few, Sarah!" He chirped before placing a small kiss onto my cheek.

I smiled and put in my locker code. I snatched my black bag and stuffed the needed materials into the bag before walking toward Nathan's locker.

He was already waiting for me, while talking to Bethany and Jesy, a red head who's friends with us. Bethany spotted my presence and ran toward me.

"I saw what happened with Nathan. Are you sure that you guys aren't going out? You guys would be so cute together!" She squeaked.

"I'm sure. What makes you think that we would be good together anyways?" I questioned. We started to approach the others.

"Stand next to Nathan." Bethany instructed. I gave her a puzzled look. "Just do it."

"Fine..." I sighed and stood next to Nathan.

Bethany squealed. "Hold her hand!" She grabbed Nathan's hand and pushed it towards mine. "Hug her."

Nathan looked at me for approval, even though we hug all the time. I latched my arms around his neck and he did the same to me. Both Jesy and Bethany began to squeal.

"Sathan.... I like that, or should their ship name be Narah... I like Narah better!" Jesy began talking to Bethany.

My arms grew limp around his neck and placed them selves across his collarbones; Nathan still latched to my waist. His hugs and just his presence was so welcoming you never wanted to leave, but I knew I had to. "Uhm... Nathan. You can let go now."

He quickly released and cleared his throat in slight embarrassment. "Sorry." He said.

"It's okay." I replied and looked up at him.

He was already looking down at me, his cheeks a slight red. "Are you blushing?" I whispered so the others wouldn't hear as they bantered about our Ship name. I smiled when his eyes widened slightly.

I really don't understand the whole shipping thing. Why would you do shipping if its just two people, either good friends or a couple, and putting their names together?

"No..." He scoffed and turned forward, watching the two other girls talk about the ship name.
