•Chapter 6•

•Bethany's Pov•

"Where's Sarah?!" Jesy fumed at my presence.

"Gone. We won't be seeing her for a while." Tears stung at the back of my eyes.

"What do you mean?" Jesy calmed down, becoming more concerned than angry.

"I sold her to a kidnapper." I shoved my head in my hands, disappointed in my actions.

"Wha- Why would you do that to our best friend?!" Jesy walked closer to me.

I didn't answer. I looked at up her, tears streaming down my face. "I'm so sorry." I barely said above a whisper.

My cheek began to sting as a loud smack was filling the air around us. "How could you?"

"I was being black mailed. I didn't want my relationship with Daniel t-." I tried to explain.

"Oh really? Daniel is more important than your best friend of 8 years?" She began to walk away, into the darkness.

"Why in the hell did I just do this?" I whispered, mainly to myself.

•Sarah's Pov•

The figure stepped out into the street light near us. The boy had dark chestnut curls that were pushed back. His eyes were a deep emerald green that pooled around in his eyes. He was wearing a black T-shirt with black jeans. White converse covered his feet.

I was lifted up off the ground to my feet. "You're finally mine, Sarah." He grinned evilly down at me, his eyes slowing raking my body.

"What do you want from me?" I said below a whisper.

"I want nothing from you." He stated slowly.

"Oh really? Then why did you have my ex-best friend take me to you instead of you taking me yourself?" I challenged.

"That would be too obvious wouldn't it?" He answered my question with another, pestering me.

"Why am I here?" I questioned. Right when I said that, Jesys' voice filled into the corridor.

"Shit..." The boy mumbled. He picked me up into his arms.

"Sarah!" Jesy looked over to me in the boys arms. "Put her down!" Jesy demanded.

"What are you going to do?" He challenged the red headed girl.

"What are going to do with her?" Jesys breathing became abnormal.

He looked back at me, a smug smirk plastered onto his face. "Nothing much." I saw his eyes darken, not a darker green but darken into a deep red.

Okay, that had to be the wine.

"What do you mean by "Nothing much"?" The curious girl questioned.

"It's non of your business." He growled. The boy put me down, stalking his way over to Jesy.

I couldn't let her get hurt. I started to run down the corridor, past the two others to get his attention. I would rather me be taken than her getting hurt.

I was almost toward the end of the corridor when I saw an unwanted face. Bethany.

She heard my fast pace and looked up. "Sarah! I'm so sorry! The boy! He was black mailing me. I'm so sorry." She reached out for me.

"Don't." A low voice came from the distance.

I was then pulled back into the darkness. My back came in contact with a brick wall. My shoulder blades and lower back earning scratches from the rough surface.

"Don't do that again." The boy growled. His eyes seemed to darken into a deeper red, if that were even possible.
