•Sarah's Pov•

Nathan and I walked out to his car. He was always my ride after school.

"Are we going to go to your place first or Starbucks?" He questioned as he opened my door for me.

"Starbucks!" I cheered. We usually go to my house or to Starbucks after school. It's usually Starbucks first.

"Alright." He hummed before closing the door.

I buckled the seatbelt across my chest and crossed my legs over each other.

***

We pulled into the Starbucks not too far from my home. I jumped out of the car, waiting for Nathan to join me.

I began jumping up and down, my hair flowing and bopping up and down when I jumped.

"Come on!" I yelled. He got out of the car and smiled at me. He slowly made his way toward me.

I groaned and pulled him by the sleeve of his jacket to get him to hurry his pace.

"Come on!" I whined. He pushed the door open and the smell of coffee filled my senses. The warm atmosphere filling the room from the cold outdoors.

"I'll be waiting over there." He looked down at me and pointed over to a cozy sitting area.

"Alright." I rubbed my hands together to create a little friction. Nathan walked over to the waiting area and sat down at one of the orange seat cushions.

I walked up to the register. "Hello, how may I help you?" A girl with blonde hair smiled at me.

"Can I get a medium Caramel Frappe?" I asked as my eyes scanned the menu.

"Alright! That will be $4.78. Your order will be ready in a few minutes." She smiled and began to make the Coffee and Caramel drink.

"Here you go!" She handed me my drink and gave me a warm smile. "Have a good afternoon."

"You too!" I grabbed a straw and stuck it into my Iced Caramel drink.

***

Nathan pulled into the grey driveway in front of the brick house. I got out of the car and grabbed my key from my pocket. I stuck the key into the key-hole and turned the key to open the door.

"Ugh!" I groaned when ever the door wouldn't open.

"Here. Let me." I felt a cold hand reach for the bronze key and he did the same action. The door opened with ease.

"Thanks." I breathed and walked straight into the kitchen.

"Hey, Sarah!" My Mom smiled brightly at me.

Nathan came into view and her smile immediately brightened. "Hello Nathan! It's good to see you!"

"Hey, Mrs. McCarthy." Nathan gave her a small wave with his hand.

"We were just going to do some homework!" I replied and pulled Nathan through the house to my room.

The room was filled with several different instruments, 2 guitars sat in the corner of the room, a drum set sat on the side of the room.

I threw my bag onto the black and white bed spread and sat down on the edge of the bed.

Nathan set his bag down on the side of my door and sat down next to me. "You do know that we didn't have any homework right?" Grabbing my hand gently, he began to rub his thumb across my small knuckles.

"Yeah. I know. I just didn't want to be stuck into a conversation with my mom." I explained and rested my head on his broad shoulder.

He draped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. "You cold?" He questioned. I felt his cheek press against the top of my head.

"Yeah." I nuzzled my nose closer to his shoulder and fisted his shirt in my left hand.

***

"Dinners ready!" My mom called from downstairs.

"Alright!" I yelled.

I was laying on Nathan's lap as he played with my black hair. I shot up from his lap and sat up straight.

"Are you going to stay for dinner?" I asked when I stood up.

"If you want me to." He suggested.

"Can you?" I looked back at him.

"Yeah." He stood up and ran his fingers through his black hair.

I nodded and walked out of my room, Nathan following me. I walked into the kitchen and found my Father flipping through the news paper. "Hey, Dad!" I smiled and walked over to hug him.

"Hey sweetheart. Is Nathan here?" He questioned.

"Yeah." I looked over to the kitchen and found Nathan helping out my mom.

***

"Bye, Sarah." Nathan gave me a tight hug before walking out the door.

"Bye, Nathan! See you tomorrow!" I waved before he closed the door.

*** The Next Day ***

I walked into the school and found Bethany and Jesy looking around frantically.

Bethany spotted me and ran towards me, Jesy following behind. "Sarah! Oh my god. Nathan's been looking for you. He said that he needed to talk to you." She breathed slowly.

"Okay? He could've just called me this morning if he wanted to talk to me." I replied and walked passed them.

"Sarah!" I heard Nathan's booming voice from farther down the hallway. He finally reached me, his cheeks a deep red. "I need to talk to you." His eyes showed that he needed me to understand but his features showed fear.
