•Chapter 43•

•Harry's Pov•

I left Sarah's side while she slept peacefully. She stirred in her sleep as I got up from my place; but she didn't awaken. I left the room, heading out into the woods.

Markings from when I was a newborn were still there, claiming my place. I walked along the perimeter of the woods, awaiting my prey.

I rushed back to the house before Sarah woke up. I walked inside to see her in the kitchen, going through the cabinets.

"You hungry?" She jumped when I spoke.

"I didn't know you would be back so early." She placed her hand on her chest. "But, yeah. I am."

"Why don't I take you out instead?" I insisted.

"What about hiding me?" She asked. I never thought that she would be so cautious on people finding her.

"Don't worry about that. We are going to another side of town." I grabbed her hand in mine, pulling her toward the car.

***

We reached the destination that I've been looking for. "Where are we?" Sarah's small voice filled my ears.

"Slide into the backseat and stay hidden." I waited for her to do as I said. She was immediately in the back, hidden behind my seat. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

I got out of the car, locking the black Mercedes. David met me outside. "Harry, what a pleasant surprise." David looked back at the car. "She's with you." He mumbled.

"Yeah, she's yours." I nudged my head toward the black vehicle.

"Really?" He started walking toward the car.

Once I was sure he wouldn't see me, I lunged at him. "This is for marking me." I growled, throwing him to the ground. "This is for the punishments." I punched and kicked the man on the floor repeatedly. "This is for killing my parents." I brought the lighter from my back pocket, lighting it.

He screams only faded the more I thought of finally ending him. He couldn't hurt me anymore; he couldn't hurt her. He would finally be gone.

I dropped the lighter, watching the flames build up as his body turned into ashes, slowly flowing with the wind. This was the day I've been waiting to happen for eighty-two years. He was finally dead.

I looked back over to the car to see Sarah's horrified expression. Her eyes were wide, her hand clamped over her mouth. I could already see the fright radiating off her.

I walked back over to the car, getting in. "Are you alright?" She asked.

I nodded. She was immediately at my side in the front, latching her arms around my neck. "Thank you......" She whispered.

"I did it for the both of us." I kissed her forehead. "Are you afraid of me?" I asked, looking back at her.
