•Chapter 19•
It's been a month since I came back to Harry's. He hasn't been as distant as he was a few weeks ago. He did live up to his word on making it more interesting around here. He did that. I was allowed to have a little more freedom, the only thing that I didn't like is that I would have to wear a paper airplane necklace for tracking. I've tried several times to get the chain to snap. It wouldn't break. I've never been caught, hopefully I wouldn't anytime soon.
Harry's presence created a warm atmosphere around the kitchen. I was holding a small mug of warm coffee in my fingers. "Morning." I greeted the half asleep boy.
"Morning, Angel." He replied, attempting to fix his messy hair. He gently placed a kiss onto my temple, before buttoning up his flannel shirt. He left the top 3 buttons opened to reveal his toned chest.
I smiled up at him, gazing into his jade eyes. They were softer and seemed as if they held an innocent child inside his lost soul. I felt terrible for the way that he became. He didn't deserve this. No one did.
He grinned down at me, taking my hand in his. He brought my fragile hand to his cold lips, kissing the pads of my fingertips. He's become very romantic since I came back. Something in him changed after that one day when I was stuck in the basement.
"Did you get a good sleep?" I asked, bringing my mug to my lips.
"Yeah. Did you?" He sat down at the seat next to me.
"Yeah. Except for the fact that my back still hurts." I ran the pad of my index finger along the rim of my coffee mug.
"I'm really sorry, Sarah. You know I am." He took my hand in his, skimming the burnt skin.
"I know. I shouldn't have even brought it up." I sighed, getting up from my seat and putting my mug into the sink.
I still haven't gained his trust in the past 4 months. 4 months, that's how long I've been here.
