•Chapter 34•
I sobbed until the end of night. I made the biggest mistake to even think about going there. Harry had apparently threatened my family so he could have me again. Who does he think he is?
Nathan stayed at my side the whole time. Taking my hand in his grasp, he took me back to his room, trying to ease my nerves. "It's going to be alright. I promise." He took me into his grasp.
I gripped onto the hem of his shirt, wrinkling the bottom. "N-No it's not." My breath was shaky and my eyes stung from my tears. "I'm not safe here Nathan."
"Don't say that." He pulled me from his embrace. "You're fine where you're at." He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
His cell phone rang once he was about to take me back out to the living room. "Hello?"
•Nathan's Pov•
"Hello?" I greeted into the receiver.
"Hello, is this Nathan?" I remembered the receptionist voice, Katherine I think was her name, one the other line.
"Yes. Do you need something?" I replied.
"Devin Hastings will need to come back to the institution. We found a drawer full of her medication pills. She needs further treatment. We would like her back at the institution by midnight tonight." Katherine finished off her explanation.
My stomach turned, knowing that she would have to go back. How long was she not taking the pills?
"Alright. I let her know." I slowly replied.
"Have a nice day." Katherine then hung up the phone.
"You have to go back, Sarah." I turned towards her. The color of her eyes were black, her skin was pale and red circled her eyes.
"No. I don't want to go back." She mumbled.
I hated seeing her like this; broken. Yet, there was nothing I could do about it.
