TRISH
No matter how good or bad your life is, wake up each morning and be thankful that you still have one.
I woke up feeling relieved. My memory from last night was a blur. I couldn't remember much but I felt safe. I feel safe. My eyes snapped open; the golden light from the sun shines brightly on the window pane. I scanned the room smiling then I suddenly felt something moving. It took me a moment to realize that I'm on the same bed where Aiden himself had slept in. What the heck happened? Why is he here?
I waked him up feeling nervous and panic at the same time. I shouted his name a couple of times before he responded into a hug pinning me on the bed. His eyes are still closed and I'm guessing he's still damn asleep. What if someone sees us? I bit his arm and shouted at his ear, "Aiden! Wake up"
Following my order, he hauled up like a soldier sitting immediately on the bed with a puzzled expression. He squeezed the ear that I shouted at. For a moment, he was confused looking at me until he realized what happened. "What the" He surged up staring at me as if I did something wrong. I slowly sat up while his gaze was locked into mine.
"What happened?"
He shrugged and said, "I just waited until you stop crying but I'm guessing I fell asleep" on my bed? Why on MY BED?
I bit my lip as he robbed the back of his neck. He raised his arms up surrendering himself, "Swear nothing happened"
I smiled to ease the tension. "Yeah I know that"
He looked worried. "Are you okay now?"
I nodded, "Yes. Thank you for last night"
He smiled broadly. "No problem"
I woke up to my senses and remembered that we are not the only people in this house. "Well you really need to get out here. If Aunt Molly finds out we are so doomed" His smile faded then he said, "Yeah you're right." in a very low tone.
Aiden just slept beside me. No. Slept with me!
"Are you going out of the door? If yes, well they might see you"
"I don't think so. My parent's room is downstairs and the girl's rooms are located at the other hallway. It's just your room and my room here"
OH
Wow. I can feel my cheeks burning.
"I didn't know that"
"Well you didn't ask"
He walked his way out of the room and opened the door. He looked at me, smirking and said, "Good morning beautiful" then he was gone.
I immediately did my morning routine and went down to the kitchen for breakfast. I saw Uncle Robert and Aunt Molly at the table discussing something I couldn't hear clearly. Great! I wanted to talk to them about my plans after graduating... College. I sank down on my chair as they greeted me a good morning.
"I know you're busy but can you please help me apply for college?" I said. I've been thinking about it lately and I don't really know how the process works so I have no choice but to ask for their help.
"Oh sweetie, is that it? We can fix it for you no worries." Aunt molly said with a wide grin on her face.
I nodded and said, "Thank you" that was easy.
Uncle Robert took a sip of his coffee and said, "Where are you planning to go to?"
"I want to study in Seattle."
They exchanged glances, eyeing each other.
"Are you sure? Seattle is too far." Aunt Molly said taking a sip of coffee.
