AIDEN
I didn't hate Jb. I admit that I was jealous of her. Jealous because Trish loves her more than she loves me; because Trish chose her instead of me.
When I saw her collapse on the floor, I didn't know what to do. I winced seeing Trish hurt like that. I couldn't run towards her because the crowd was surrounding them. I heard her cries even if I was on the bleacher and it made my heart ache again and again. I sank down on the chair placing my hands on my head.
"Wake her up, Lord. Wake her up" I kept on whispering.
Jb makes Trish happy and that's all that matters to me. I'm willing to let go as long as Trish is happy and Jb doesn't do anything to hurt her. Whatever makes Trish happy, I'm amenable to do anything even if it means that my life would be taken away.
"Come on now let's go to the hospital" Jake said dragging me to the parking lot.
The game was continued despite of what happened. They gave the players a twenty minute break to freshen up. Jb's teammates were determined to play and win the game for her.
We arrived at the hospital late because of the traffic that the game caused. I saw Trish looking hopeless. She was sitting at the waiting area sobbing silently. Her blonde long hair was a mess and her make up was desolated by her tears. She even looked more wasted than us who partied last night.
I don't want to see her like this.
As we run towards her, "Trish" Kate's voice startled Trish.
"What happened?" Kate asked.
Kate wrapped her arm around Trish's shoulder. If I could just scoop her in my arms....
"Jb's in the ICU. They'll conduct a CT scan of her brain tonight"
WHAT?
"CT scan?" Jessica asked.
"They asked me earlier about Jb and I told them that this past few days she always forgets schedules and events. She also suffered fatigue, neck pain and migraines"
"What does it mean?" Aly asked.
"They're not sure" Trish stuttered.
We were all sitting impatiently in the waiting area when Jb's mother arrived. When she saw Trish, she rushed towards her. She wrapped her arms around Trish as she starts weeping again. Mrs. Bradfort rubbed her back gently, trying to calm her down
"Oh Trish"
"Jb's going to be okay? Right?" Trish asked but Mrs. Bradfort didn't answer.
Yes Trish, Jb's going to be okay. I won't let anything happen to her. I wanted to tell Trish but of course she wasn't asking me.
"Why did she collapse? Before.. Before she went back to play I asked her... I asked her if she was okay and she said yes but why" Trish stuttered asking.
"Didn't she tell you?" But before Trish could answer the doctor came in.
"Mrs. Bradfort?" He asked.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry to tell you but your daughter is in a state of coma. Apparently, she has a brain aneurysm and the nerve in her brain exploded while she was playing. Her body is too weak to fight"
Trish smashed into the floor. Kate and Jessica rushed towards her and wrapped her in their arms.
Trish was stunned, very stunned as if she was turning into a stone. I wanted to run to her but my feet seemed to be glued to the floor.
