Chapter Twenty-Six

TRISH

Jb gave me a ride home because Aiden and the gang went to the after party in a new club downtown. She told me not to go so that I could rest because I was too drained.

"Congrats by the way"

"For?"

"Being prom queen"

"Oh thank you"

"I love you, Trish. Don't you forget that" Jb said planting a kiss on my nose.

She left and I closed the door shut. The punch made me dizzy so I first went to the kitchen to drink some water. After that, I straightaway went up to my room thinking about Jb and Aiden. I opened the door of my room and placed the wings on the table. I had no energy left so I plunged on the bed. So tonight I was crowned prom queen, danced with Aiden and told me he loves me. Aiden could be really confusing at times. But why does it affect me anyway? I'm with Jb now. She loves me and I love her too that was all that matters.

I woke up like something smashed me. The sun was nowhere to be seen in the blue sky. I stood up making my way to the bathroom deciding to take a shower first before I go down to have breakfast.

My phone rang. Jb.

"Hey morning"

"Hi so I'll see you later at the game?"

"Yeah sure"

"Okay bye love you"

"I love you too, sleepyhead"

I ended the phone call and went back to my room to get dressed. I went down and saw the girls playing at the living room.

"I don't see Jb anymore. I miss her" Cecily said playing with her barbie dolls.

"You'll see her soon okay?" I retorted.

"Breakfast is ready" Aunt Molly announced.

We all went to the kitchen and sank down in our seats. Aiden arrived late looking wasted.

"You enjoyed your prom?" Uncle Robert asked.

Aiden and I both nodded as if it was scripted.

"So how's the after party, Aiden?" Aunt Molly asked.

"Awesome. A lot of students were looking for Trish though" Aiden jerked his head to face me.

"Uh I wasn't feeling well so Jb gave me a ride home" I tried to explain.

"That's so nice of her"

"Yeah she's really nice, mom" Cecily interrupted.

It was Jb's last game for this season. The gym was full of screaming fans especially girls who were busy fangirling over Jb. The gang was complete to support Jb. Aly, Ayie and Jacob also sat with us during the game.

"Do you get jealous of Jb's fans? They're always everywhere and if I know, these girls would pay bucks just to kiss Jb on the cheeks" Kate retorted mockingly.

"No, as long as I know that Jb's mine I wouldn't get jealous and I trust Jb. She wouldn't cheat on me"

Before the game started, Jb went to our bleacher to say hello. She sat on my lap waiting for the announcement. I hugged her from behind and said, "Take it easy okay?"

"Yes ma'am"

"I'm serious, Jb. Don't be to aggressive" I retorted planting a kiss on her back.

Snorting, she nodded.
