Chapter Forty-two

TRISH

I received a call from Kate before I headed towards my first afternoon class. She told me that her sister's wedding was called off and moved next year so they're not going to Seattle anymore. The couple had problems with their guests so they decided to puspone everything until the right time comes that they can finally be wedded. It's sad hearing that they can't visit us soon but at least I'm going to see them when I go back to Chicago during winter break. Our gang is having a small reunion and the guys are planning to throw a huge party for everyone in our batch. It's only a couple of months away and I am so thrilled to see the people who became close to my heart. I haven't seen them in years albeit we always video call when we have time.

The last time we had a group video call, Corry is still blessed and enjoying his freedom as an homosexual. He is still amazingly in love with Zach who is a good person and will never judge him for who he really is. Dean and Annabelle got engaged last month. They sent us a video since we couldn't come to the actual proposal. It wasn't a huge one and it was very simple but heart warming. Though we're not there, it's very sweet of them to make a video and mention the people who are not with them during that time. Jeremiah is now working for a small company in Portland. He's alone there but I heard that he is currently dating. Jessica got accepted in Harvard and she is now taking medecine. Of course, she's still the same old Jessica I met years ago. Kate is still together with Jake and would probably be engaged in the future. The two of them are like dogs and cats but they sure love each other.

Dying in excitement, I decided to occupy myself for the rest of the week until we go to California for our one week vacation trip. We are going to stay in the lavish beach house that Liam's family own. His father is going to have a luxurious party at their hotel and a lot of celebrities and opulent people are going to come. We're very fortunate to be invited and lucky enough to be Liam's friends. Even though we insisted to pay him, he wouldn't let us lay out a single dollar. He even paid for the whole trip for goodness sake.

I went to building C looking dithery despite of the rousing events coming. Aiden suddenly crossed my mind like a meteor and exploded at the corner of my brain. I couldn't restrain myself from thinking too much because I am honestly perturbed about the future that awaits us. My face couldn't be drawn because of the negative thoughts flooding my mind like how things are slowly turning from seamless to intricate. When I saw him the other day with Misha, I couldn't help it but to feel a little possessive. I know I shouldn't be because she's my friend and I trust Aiden so much that it breaks my heart into several pieces every time I see him with another girl. I am not his girlfriend and that is why I am secretly dying inside. I want him to be mine and I want to be his. I want to make everything official even though I am not sure of what he is feeling about me now. Despite my issue, I didn't tell him and decided to stay silent for the sake of being at peace.

Seeing me stroll over the hallway, Liam suddenly rushed towards me saying, "Do you want to come over tonight? Luke and I decided to play Fifa. We're going to order pizza too" then I jolted my head to give him a glance.

Luke talked to me before he left for Colorado. It was four months ago and he told me that he is going to stay there for a couple of months or even years because his father thinks that it is time for him to learn how to run their family business. He was forced to transfer college. He also told me that he is going to try his best to visit me every month but it didn't come true. He is so occupied because his obdurate father always make sure that Luke's schedule is full. Despite of the hard circumstances, Luke tried his best to call me but he didn't tell me that he is back in Seattle.

I raised my eyebrows and asked, "I thought Luke is in Colorado right now?" making him flash a smirk at me. Liam immediately shook his head saying, "He finally went back when I told him that you're kinda already taken. He went nuts" and I felt ashamed because the guy thinks that we're dating due to the kiss that happened a few months ago before Aiden started courting me.
