Chapter Twelve

TRISH

Knock knock knock

"Trish!!!" Annabelle yelled.

I opened the door. Jessica, Kate, and Annabelle stepped into my room without a word.

"We're sleeping over tonight. I asked Aiden and he said it was okay" Annabelle babbled. "The boys are spending the night too. They're going camping outside though" Kate said sitting on the bed.

"Eww there's so many insects there" Annabelle retorted.

"So where can we put our bags?" Kate asked glancing around my room.

"At the side of the bed"

They all placed their bags and took off their shirts to show their bikini tops except for Jessica who was wearing a West Mount shirt and shorts.

"Don't tell me you're going to swim wearing that" Annabelle said gazing at Jessica from top to bottom.

"Actually, I am"

"What are you going to wear, Trish?" Kate asked

"I'm not going to join you guys"

"What? Why?"

"I'm not in the mood to swim" with Aiden and that bitch Sarah.

"Don't be such a kill joy! Yolo girl!" Annabelle said.

"Oh I don't know"

I sat down on my bed while the three of them looked at me like there's something wrong. There is something wrong.

"What?"

"Okay spill it out." Kate said crossing her arms over her chest.

"nothing"

"Oh girl, we know there's something wrong" Annabelle said

They tickled me. Suddenly, we were all giggling on my bed

"okay okay there's this guy I really like but the past few days he's been avoiding me and I don't even know why"

"Ohhh is he from our school? What's his name!"

"Let's just call him Mark" I lied.

"Mark Carlos?" Jessica asked

"No!"

"So this Mark maybe is just having some time to think? You should talk to him" Kate said.

"Oh I don't know it's really complicated"

"Trish, talk to him. It's the only solution" Jessica said.

"You guys better go down now. I can figure this out on my own"

"We hate leaving you here but if you really don't want to join, fine." Annabelle said.

I nodded.

"Just go down if you change your mind" Kate said.

Then they were gone.

I lay down on my bed again thinking of all the problems I faced since I came here. But I could never deny the fact that I like it more here. I love it here and my new life even though I'm not with my family.

I am free.

After twenty minutes of doing nothing, I decided to join them. I changed into the black swimsuit I bought last month. I gazed myself at the mirror as I comb my hair. I went to the backyard with a book in my right hand. When I got out, I saw Kate, Jessica, Dean and Jake playing beer pong; Corry, Jeremiah and Annabelle were sitting on the grass eating chips and Sarah and Aiden were at the corner laughing.
