AIDEN
I went to the place where the girl I love lived for years. Atlanta. I didn't know why and what I will do there but something urged me to go. I know it was crazy to go to a place that I am not familiar with and to leave without a word at all.
I knew I needed to do it.
It was an algid Thursday night when I arrived at Atlanta. I stayed at a hotel downtown near the park Trish used to tell me about. Atlanta was just what I thought based from her descriptions.
The next day, I journied around the places where Trish grew up. I entered a flower shop and bought sun flowers for her family. I decided to stop by at their old house despite of my doubts.
I strolled through the streets hunting for her house. It wasn't challenging to find zbecause it was the only house burned into ashes and covered in black. Gazing at the mansion, I imagined Trish and her family having a lovely bliss and making memories worth remembering. She told me they were so happy that I felt Trish's pain when her family passed away.
The place was surrounded with crime scene tapes. There was nothing left to be salvaged. I duck towards the door placing the flowers on the porch. I strolled through the hallways glancing at stuff. Their mansion was huge. It was five times bigger than our house.
Thankfully, the golden beam of sunlight shined through the broken windows. Unsafe, I went upstairs to the second floor. I found Trish's room at the end of the main hallway. The wooden door creaked open. Trish's room was so huge it was even bigger than our living room. Some of her stuff was still okay but it couldn't be used for a long time. As I walk around the room, I saw a picture of Trish and her family on the floor beside her bed. I gazed at it for a moment.
and kept it inside my bag. I went downstairs and got out of the main door. I stared at the house one last time.
"You're not allowed to cross the tape" His voice startled me jerking my body to face him but I didn't answer.
"Who are you? I haven't seen you around" He retorted walking closer to the Campbell's graves. It was full of flowers and candles waiting to be lit up.
"I'm just visiting my relatives. I'm from Chicago"
His face shone with wonder. His eyes widened. "You're Aiden? Beatrice's cousin?"
"How did you know?" I exclaimed.
"Hi I'm Vince, I was a good friend of Beatrice"
I strode closer to their graves.

"You know, she used to tell us stories about her hometown and you"
"She remembered me?"
"Yeah not until the accident. She was hit by a car and when she woke up, she couldn't remember some significant things. Her parents noted us not to mention you to Beatrice anymore."
"Why?"
"They said, if you two were not cousins, you'd be married by now"
If Trish had a car accident then she didn't receive the package.
"Where's the post office?" I interjected demanding an answer.
"Just a few blocks away... Beside the coffee shop"
