TRISH

When I first hanged out with Jb, it was unforgettable. She went to my school just to apologize. We ate at the ice cream parlor and stayed at my room for hours. It was one of the best days of my life.

Despite the fact that I saw Sarah and Aiden together at the living room, it didn't ruin my night. Jb made it all work. We wrestled on my bed, sang songs, watched a movie online and ate the cake she gave me as a peace offering. It was undeniably fun.

I just realized that I was texting Jb almost everyday. She also called at night and we would end up sleeping while the other one is talking. I admit, I always fall asleep. It was funny though because even though I was already sleeping, she didn't break the call.

The last bell rang and classes ended. A lot of people informed me that Jb was waiting for me at the parking lot and they weren't lying. I saw her BMW parked on the same spot. I smirked walking towards her.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Waiting for you?" She said taking my bag off my shoulders.

"And why is that so?"

"I promised you a pizza right? So I'm going to treat you tonight" she winked and opened the car door for me again. I got in.

We went to the pizza parlor near our village. When we entered the store, a couple of people eyed us. Whispers started to engulfed the room. I wanted to shout that Jb and I are just friends but of course I didn't want to cause a scene.

"Let's us order pizza and eat it at your place?" She also noticed.

"Good idea" I nodded.

We got home and saw the girls watching some movie at the living room. "Hey watcha doin?" I asked them.

"Watching Scream" Focused, Carmela said.

"Hey girls, this is Jb" Jb smiled at the girls. "And this is Carmela and Cecily my cousins"

Cecily moved her eyebrows into a knot. Curiously, she asked, "Is she your love thingy?"

I laughed and shook my head. "Nope she's just my friend"

Jb and I sat down on the sofa across the girls. We ate the pizza that we bought a while ago. The girls finished almost all of it. They were so hungry. Hours later, Jb, Cecily and Carmela got really close. Jb was joking and the girls laughed at her as if it's their last laugh. It was fun watching them.

The movie was so creepy I screamed every single minute. The girls didn't seemed horrifies but I was. I ducked my face on the pillow trying to avoid undesirable scenes. The hostility of the movie wasn't advised to let young children watch but the girls insisted. They begged me and didn't gave up. Jb noticed me creeping out so she sat closer and looped her arm around my shoulder, squeezing gently. I felt safe and warm. I scooted even closer to her, pressing my whole body into hers. Jb was stroking my hair as thoughts of her and Aiden flooded my mind.

Aiden's arms. Jb's arms. Aiden's arms. Jb's arms.

I couldn't avoid comparing them. Jb is the sweetest person I have ever known and Aiden well, he's so quiet and mysterious. He's the kind of guy that keeps all his feelings.

Jb's just my friend and Aiden's my cousin. What the heck am I thinking?

Aiden went down. He walked to the kitchen like he didn't see us. He acted like we were invisible. I still didn't break Jb's hug. It was so perfect I couldn't break it. Aiden didn't care anyway.

"Why is Aiden home? Shouldn't he be at football practice?"

"I don't know. He went home before you arrived" Carmela shrugged and said.
