FORGET ME NOT

Chapter Seven

TRISH

"You're going to have an art project called Paint Your Life and it must be submitted on Friday. You have a week to do this so I'm expecting big things from you." Mrs. James, our art teacher, explained.

Art is my favorite subject. I even like it more because I'm in the same class as Kate. She's really nice and well we act more like best friends now. We always text and call each other this past few days. During weekends, we go to the mall to shop and meet our friends.

Fixing her binders, Kate asked, "Are you going to the party tonight?" soothingly.

I shrugged, "I don't know"

She frowned disappointed "You have to go. It will be fun. I promise that the boys will never follow you around again"

At the last party we went, most of the boys followed me everywhere I go. They stalked me and I was exasperated hiding from them. Thankfully, the Redjox shoo them away so that I can enjoy the night.

I sighed defeated. "Okay. I'll go tonight."

Clapping her hands, she said, "Great! I will pick you up at 7. Okay?" with huge enthusiasm.

"Are Corry, Jessica and Annabelle coming?" I asked

"Of course!"

The bell rang and I bent down to get my bag. Kate and I went to the gym to wait for Aiden. The moment we got there, I saw him playing basketball for Physical Ed. Isn't he perfect? We strode up to the bleachers to watch the game. I stared at him and watched his every move. He caught me gazing and he just stared at me while dribbling the ball. He smirked, winked, dropped his gaze and jumped to shoot the ball. The girls cheered his name. Score! I jumped up and clapped my hands grinning and cheering.

Since the night I asked him to sleep with me, Aiden and I got really close. He sneaks through my room and sleep with me every night so I wouldn't have nightmares anymore and it worked. I got comfortable with him now unlike my first day here. We watched movies at night, had lunch and he seats beside me in English and Math class.

"Damn your cousin is so hot" Kate was totally drooling over Aiden. It was so funny though. I sat down and said, "Oh shut up" hugging my books tighter.

"I heard Jake and Dean got busted yesterday smoking pot" she said making my eyes widen. I sheered my head in shock. "What?"

"Yeah gossips fly so fast, right?"

That's why I didn't see Jake and Dean during first period and lunch. They weren't around but nobody told me the reason until now. Why the heck did they smoke pot in school?

Aiden's class was over. He got his bag and waited for me as I clambered to my feet towards him.

He said, "Hey" with a grin on his face.

"Hi"

Kate said, "Hey guys I need to go bye see ya" while striding to the cafeteria to meet Corry.

Aiden and I waved good bye and walked through the hallways towards the parking lot. A few pairs of eyes looked at us with muttering voices. We didn't care and I'm used to it anyway. Aiden offered to carry my bag so I wouldn't be in burden.

"So what's up?"He asked. Glancing away, I asked, "Is it true?"

Curiously, he asked "True? What?"

"That Jake and Dean got caught smoking pot."

He opened the door leading to the parking lot. "Oh you heard the news" he said.

"So what will happen to them?" I looked at him waiting for an answer as we walked towards his car."They got suspended for three days and that's it" he said.
