AIDEN

I spent most of the day hanging out with Trish in my room. We just lay on my bed and listened to Jesse McCartney's songs. Trish is really a huge fan. Her room used to be full of his posters when we were still kids. It was funny for a six year old girl to fan girl over a boy. There was a time when Jesse had a concert and she couldn't go. She was not allowed by her dad, Uncle Luke, because she was still very young to go in places full of wild people. She immediately ran to my room that night and cried. I didn't know what to do but I planned of something.

On the day of the concert, I told her to go to the basement. I have set the room with a microphone and a stage. I was nervous that maybe my plan wouldn't work. When she came in, I straightaway wore the mask of Jesse so that I can pretend to be him; so I'll look like him. She started laughing at me while I sang his songs on the stage. Good thing my dad helped me prepare the area because I couldn't do it on my own.

Trish jerked her body to face me. She flashed me a smile and said, "I really like this song"

"Beautiful soul?" I asked glancing back.

"Yeah it's so sweet" she said as I nodded in response.

She suddenly asked me, "You like Jesse too?" while I surged up making my way to the table, "Yep his songs are cool". She sat up watching my every move. I felt her eyes on me as I sank down on the chair and opened the laptop.

"Why?" she asked. I spun the chair facing her and said, "Because his songs speaks the words that I fail to say" I took a deep breath and added, "How about you?"

"Well, he's hot and I love his music. I idolize him" she answered. Acting like I didn't know why, I replied, "Well that's true".

"My mom told me that I used to cry over him well she's wrong because I still cry because of him. They didn't allow me to go to concerts or what so ever. I'm old enough right? But I couldn't blame them of course" Trish said. I gazed at her eyes and face shone with wonder and pain. I couldn't stop myself so I asked, "You miss them huh?"

She nodded and frowned.

Before I could say a word she said, "Your room is so boyish" to change the topic. I know her family was not something she wanted to talk about so I didn't push her in saying stories about them. I respected her and her private life. I snorted, "Because it's my room" glancing around. "Why do you hang nude posters around your room?" She asked. I grinned facing her, "I'm a boy, Trish"

She looked grimaced inspecting my room for the third time. "It's so messy and you really need to clean". She flipped and turned around to get my boxers which I left hanging on the edge of the bed. "You wear superman boxers?" she said while holding the boxers with her left hand. She grinned as I defend myself, "Hey! Superman is cool"

She couldn't stop mocking at me and my wonderful boxers. "Aiden Williams wear Superman Boxers!!" she teased and threw the boxers at the basket scoring a three points shot. I clapped my hands. "Great job and sssh that's our secret"

I smiled because I made her happy. I made her laugh and forget all these shitty things that she's facing even just for a minute. Eyes fixed, I plunged on the bed attacking her with tickles. We wrestled and suddenly she was on top of me, giggling with laughter. Her face was so close to mine that our nose touched. Then we woke up to reality and realized what's happening. She surged up and fixed her shirt as I sat up. She made her way towards the door and said, "I'll see you tomorrow. Night Aiden" flashing me another smile.

"Night angel. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite"

A scream coming from Trish's room woke me up. I immediately got up and stormed anxiously to her room. Without knocking, I opened the door.
