Getting a pet

You always wanted a dog to keep you company. Your dad, which is the sheriff, always takes a night shift and Stiles is always at his room.

You asked for it at every dinner you had with your dad and Stiles. Your twin brother seems okay with it but the sheriff thinks it needs extra work.

"Dad, please. I promise I'll work and help you at the station. Or maybe I can solve a case" you said one night

"Don't become your brother, please" he joked

"What's that supposed to mean?" Stiles looked at him

"Whatever. The point is, adopting a poodle needs extra work and time"

"I never said I wanted a poodle" you twirl the fork with your hand

"What do you want then?" Stiles asked

"A german shepherd or golden retriever" you casually say

"It could guard the house too actually" Stiles looks at him

"Get your grades until B first" he said and takes a spoonfull of mash potato to his plate

"She got all A's" Stiles defends you

You smiled in victory and mouthed Stiles a thank you. He smiled back at you and continue eating

"I'll think about it. And you can help your brother get his grades up" your dad says while standing up

"I'll clean the dishes tonight" you declared

"Yes!" Stiles cheered

"Thank you. Well I better get going for my shift" he walks to the door and opened it

"Sheriff" you heard Scott's voice appear at the front door

"Come in. I'm going to the station now" he let Scott in and he walked outside

"Hi Scott" you greet him

"Oh hey (Y/N)" he waved at you

You carry your dad's, yours, and Stiles's plate to the dishwasher. After you cleaned them, you went upstairs to your room

You order clothes and a new laptop for Stiles because it's his and your birthday tomorrow.

You closed your laptop, read your novel until late, and fall asleep on your bed

"Rise and shine, (Y/N)" Stiles wakes you up

"Happy birthday" you hugged him

"Happy birthday to you too" he said

"Happy birthday kiddos" th sheriff comes to your room

Stiles and you hugged him tightly

"Thanks dad" you said

"Get dressed the two of you" he said before he got out

You two looked at each other and rushed to the bathroom. Along the way, you grab your towel and throw Stiles's towel downstairs.

"Come on!" he yelled and gave up

"Go get it, big bro" you teased him

"Just because I'm ten minutes older than you, that doesn't mean I'm too old" he explained

You closed the bathroom door and took a shower. You changed your pj's into a black tank top and a washed jeans

Once you open the door, Stiles is waiting outside the door with both eyes closed

"You can open your eyes, Stiles" you said

"Great. Now I'm going to take a shower" he rushed to the bathroom and closed the door

You grabbed your denim cardigan and then come downstairs

"I smell pancakes" you walked to the kitchen

"You, me, Stiles are going to pick up Deaton. Something happened at the hospital and I don't want you guys to be alone" dad says

"Okay" you take a bite from your cheese pancake when Stiles came tumbling downstairs

Then, the doorbell rings. Before Stiles can open the door, you sprinted to open it

"Are you (Y/N) Stilinski?" the guy asked

"Yes. I'am" you smiled

"I have a package for you. Please sign here" he gives you a pen and you signed at the paper

"Thank you. Have a great day!" you take the package from him and closed the door

"Careful. It could be a bomb" Stiles said cautiously

"Seriously?"

"Because the last time we receive a packet, it was a freaking bomb" dad says

You rolled your eyes and gave Stiles the package

"This is my present for you" you crossed your hands and wait for him to open it

He unwraps the brown paper and open thr box. Stiles looks at you happily and kissed you all over your face

"Okay okay. That's enough" you laughed

"Shall we go to the vet now?" dad says

"Yeah" you both answered

"Deaton?" you called out

Stiles, you, and the sheriff went inside the vet. But no one is there. You guys enter the room and the lights are off. You switch the light then there were screams

"Happy Birthday Stilinskis!" you and Stiles saw Deaton, Scott, Kira, Lydia, Isaac, Aiden, Ethan, Danny, and Melissa are holding a balloon

You are pretty sure that Stiles is shocked too.

"We've got something for you" Lydia says to you

"You guys didn't have to get me anything" you said, hugging her

"Are you sure?" Deaton came to you with a german shepherd puppy in his arms

You squeal in delight and Deaton handed the puppy to you.

"This one just escaped from the pound and I found him in the preserve. Then your dad tells me about you. Your friends and your brother helped too" he explained

"Thank you so much guys. This is the best birthday ever" you said

"Group hug!" Kira yelled and makes a circle

After that, Stiles went to you and sit beside you.

"Thank you once again" you said

"I will do everything to keep my twin happy" he said while gently patting your head

Scott drop Melissa at the hospital and catch up with you. You go shopping for the dog supplies and lunch with the pack.

"What's his name gonna be?" Kira asked

"I'm going to name it Stiles but he objected" you jokingly said

"Heard that!" Stiles yelled from the driver seat

"I think I'm gonna call him Russell. What do you think?" you kisssed Russell's head

He barked in approval and fell asleep at your lap
