Percy's POV

My senses screamed at me to get up. I sat up and looked around. I was in the room Elda had placed me in last night. My new room.

'This will be your room.' She had told me with a big bright smile last night.

I suddenly heard footsteps coming from downstairs. Elda was asleep in the room across from mine. I could hear her soft breathing. Which was strange...

Confused I felt different. I scanned the room. On the wall, across from me was a sword hung on the wall. I for a fact knew that was not their last night. I quietly threw the covers off from me, and got off from the bed looking at it with caution.

Once I got closer I could see it was a black sword with the halt twisting. On the blade was an unknown symbol. A nagging feeling in the back of my mind to me told me that I had seen it before. Question is where? Where have I seen this symbol?

I was to focused on the symbol on the sword that I had forgotten about the intruders' downstairs. I grabbed the sword and held it in my hand.

It strangely fit. Perfect size, weight, and length.

It was as if it was made for me. I walked down the stair quietly. Slightness not being my best movement. I accidently tripped over a table in the hall. I quickly acted and caught the vase before it hit the ground. I sighed with relief and placed it back carefully. The sword slightly brushing against it making a scratch on the vase. I cursed. I hope Elda isn't angry with me.

"What about this boss?" A man asked in whisper. I glanced at the stairs which where to my left.

"Find something more valuable." Another man growled.

"Ow," The first man groaned. I rolled my eyes. Robbers. Of course, Who breaks into an elderly lady's home at this hour?

"Get the stuff," The other man ordered quite loudly. I glanced down the hall towards Elda's room. I could hear no sort of sound coming from inside except for her soft breathing.

I placed the sword down on the table beside me, before making my way down the stairs.

The first guy let out a loud gasp in amazement. He found something.

"Shhh, idiot. Someone's coming." The 'boss' said. No duh obviously? I purposely made loudly stepped as I stood at the bottom of the stairs. Both guys had their backs to me as they looked through the bookshelves.

"This woman has nothing good." The 'boss' muttered as he looked at the countless book and mini collections Elda had.

I crossed my arms and leaned the wall behind me. I looked at the ground causing my hair to cover my eyes.

"It's kind of obvious. It's an elderly woman who lives here," I said coldly. I could feel their eyes on me with shock.

My sense ran wild when I felt the first guy bull out a pocket knife. He approached me slowly. Still I didn't look up. Why could I feel his every movement in the dark?

Last time I checked. I no longer had powers...

I looked up at him. Looking deep into his eyes. He was wearing a ski mask. I could see his normal looking brown eyes. He let out a gasp as he looked at me.

He took a step back and dropped his pocket knife on the ground. He looked at me with fear, as if he has seen a monster.

I narrowed my eyes, as he kept his gaze locked to mine.

I could feel another presence behind me. The 'boss' was still frozen in fear. I raised my hand and stopped the baseball bat from hitting me on the head.
