Percy's POV
She was falling at a rapid rate. I could feel my heart racing at the thought of being unable to catch her.
I watched as she grew closer to the ground. By merely watching her fall, made me anxious. At this point, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Definitely not the best feeling in the world, but it was there none the less.
I, however, didn't move my eyes from the falling figure. And I couldn't stop from feeling fear. And this fear was running so deep within me, I was beginning to sweat.
The fear of losing her was intense. Very intense.
"-Vice" A distant voice spoke I stared at Melinda, all my attention was on her, nothing more. And it had me frozen in my spot.
"Novice!" The loud sound of my name being called snapped me out my of frozen state and allowed me to turned to face Ruben, He gave me a pointed look and glared at once.
"Open a portal underneath her!" The order was bright enough to cause me to obey.
"Oh, mother of Poseidon's underpants, let this work," I muttered as I looked up at the Melinda's falling figure. I quickly shot my hands upwards, and a small black hole escaped from my palms, and to my amazement, it didn't last long before it caught Melinda mid-air.
From what I could see from my spot, the black hole shut and disappeared from the vast hight before reopening in front of me.
It spits Melinda out leaving me to catch her on time.
I nearly didn't catch her though, to be honest, she almost fell out of my arms.
"Careful there," Ruben grumbled lowly, he tensed up a bit when Melinda groaned. His eyes scanned her face. A look of wonder written in his expression.
"Novice, look." Ruben placed a gentle hand on her cheek, I glanced down, to my shock Melinda once had scares covering her face. But now Melinda's skin was so clear and her hair, it was is a soft brown. It was so dark before it could have been mistaken for darkness.
"It's soft, like a newborns skin." Ruben uttered while staring at Melinda in awe.
"Her aura..."
"it's so gentle, so kind." Ruben sighed deeply while removing his hands from MY girl. I growled and hugged her close to my chest.
"Mine." I jokingly smacked his hands and turned her away from him.
"Do you think she'll wake up?" I ran my finger through her silky hair before sighing with relief.
Melinda was once again in my arms, safe and sound. I have failed her once, and it's the reason in why we are in this situation.
"We might want to take her back to the castle, I don't think taking her to Olympus would be a good idea." Shaking my head, I turned to walk towards a tree.
"I think Melinda needs to be in Olympus, something tells me, Artemis can help." I smiled at the thought of having her back with me. After all these struggles, every single thing. It has made our relationship much stronger. And I was grateful for that.
We pushed through with everything, and together we built something more significant. Looking back at everything I could see it was nearly impossible to bare with all the pain, but, It was sure worth it.
"Percy." the soft sound of an unknown voice filled my ears, I glanced down to see Melinda's staring at me with half opened eyes, but to my surprise, blue orbs stared back at me instead of endless black voids.
At this point, I was starting to questioning if this was actually Melinda.
"Percy." A warm hand rested on my cheek, Melinda was staring at me with a worried gaze. It nearly caused me to fall from the beauty of those eyes.
"Percy," she muttered before going limp in my arms. Her eye closed once more. Melinda rested her head on my shoulder. I guess that she passed out from the lack of energy.
"Let's go, we need to get to Olympus now." I glanced at Ruben who nodded his head in agreement, he was also staring at Melinda in both shock and amazement.
"Could that really be Melinda?" Ruben asked as he softly moved hair from her face. Not knowing what to answer, I stayed silent and looked away from Melinda. If she really was Melinda, she had significantly changed.
Sorry for the short chapter, as everyone else, I do go through life and, as we are all aware, life is full of problems. I ask that you all be patient with me, I will try to update a bit more frequently, I want to finish this story soon, however, I believe there are only a few chapters left. I want to thank those who have stuck to this point of the story. I hope you all enjoyed.
I will mention this. I am writing a story of my own. It's not a fan fiction. and It might be posted on this account, I am not sure. It will be titled "Man, woman, and God, all together." it might be titled differently, but It will be a book of faith and Christianity. Thank you all once again for sticking this far into this story.
"In the beginning, God created the earth, and after creating the earth, he created man and woman, we all know, the woman was taken from the rip of the man. God didn't want man to be alone, and so he gave the man someone to spend his time with. I am here to speak on how this-" The words flew out my mouth before coming to a sudden stop, I stood before the members of the church, they all stared at me curiously. After all, I was a stranger in their church, they've never truly got to know my story and they had no idea of what I was ready to say. I moved my eye from the crowd and turned to look at the ceiling.
"This is my testimony," I spoke, silencing the whole room as they all gasped in deep surprise. After being in the church for months, I was now coming out with the truth. Members of the church became eager to know what God has done for me, and here, at this moment I knew I could finally let out the truth, and tell them all of the great blessings God has given me.
