Chapter 15
Melinda rushed through the garden trying her best to find a way out.
Her heart was pounding loudly in her chest while feeling lightheaded.
She looked around to see many roses. She froze as she stared at the lovely sight before her. It was breath taking.
"They're lovely aren't they?" The voice behind her sounded familiar. Melinda turned around to see a man standing behind her. A big smile on his lips.
His hood was up of course. But his mouth and nose were visible. Allowing Melinda to see his smile.
"Who are you?" Melinda asked. That cut sharp, bringing a profound silence as Novice took a step back in shock.
She forgot who he was? His heart began to throb in pain as he stared at her with his mouth gaping open.
"Melinda it's me..." His voice went to a whisper. Barely audible anymore. He clenched his fist and held back the tears in that pooled in his eyes. He could already guess. She had forgotten, And it was all his fault. Those thoughts struck hard as he slumped his body slightly.
"I don't know you. At least I don't think I do." Melinda stood close enough to speak with him yet far enough for him to not touch.
"Melinda." Novice walked towards her, right to the point they were face to face.
"It's me, Percy." He lifted his hands to cup her cheeks caressing them with his thumbs.
He didn't dare break eye contact. Too afraid to lose her permanently.
"I-I'm sorry sir." She stuttered as her gaze was locked with his. She noticed the strong resemblance to the galaxy in his eyes.
Almost like a galaxy under water, it was terrifying but beautiful.
Her hands began to shake as she grew more nervous at being so close to this unknown man. And she was much more worried about why her body wouldn't let her pull away from his touch.
"This is all my fault." He whispered not moving his gaze at all. His words confused Melinda. They struck hard, as her head began to spin with unanswered questions.
The frown on his lips made her feel saddened, which was odd. She closed her eyes and tried to remember this man.
blank.
Nothing would come, she had no memories of him, but he apparently knew her.
"Who am I to you?" She forced herself to not stutter as she reopened her eyes to see him staring at her with a soft gaze.
"Melinda, you're my girlfriend." He muttered softly, as he wrapped his arm around her. Melinda stiffens as he buried his face into her lose messy hair.
"I"m going to help you remember what you forgot." His tone sooth down her worries.
"Le'ts go back inside, I was told you recently woke up. you need to sit down." He calmly took her hand and lead her back inside.
Melinda stumbled on her feet and blushed deeply when she looked up to see Percy staring down at her with worry.
"see you are still weak, I don't think you should have been running." He muttered while cursing at someone under his breath.
A loud thundering filled the whole silent hall, as Melinda quickly stood up with Percy's help. She blushed as he stared at her.
"I'm sorry." She apologized. Percy shook his head and lifted her chin with two fingers.
