"Are you sure this is the place?" With a glance around the area, the Ruben spat at the ground.

A grunt escaped Percy's lips as he glanced at his surroundings. There seemed to be nothing for miles on end. Just the dark sky light up with shining stars.

"Only one way to find out," Percy muttered while holding the stone in his fist. His heart pounded loudly as the ground began to shake, while silently he chanted in ancient Greek,

A dark figure rose behind them both, eye glowing white with pure power.

"yep, this is the place." Percy dropped the stone as he turned around to see Darkness standing there with a doll at her side. The doll was no higher than a four-year-old kid, she did nothing but stare into Percy's soul. Those eyes were enough to send a chill down his spine. Ruben glanced at the doll, but his eyes stayed focused on Darkness.

He wasted no time in shaking her from head to toe before giving a smudged smile.

"She looks like a ten-year-old, how can she possibly help us!?" He asked turning to look at Percy with a victorious smile.

Shaking his head in disagreement, Percy pointed back at Darkness, Ruben's eyes went wide as power seemed to spew like oxygen.

"Don't let an Image fool you."

Bolting awake Ruben glanced around his surroundings only to see he was in a familiar room.

A room that belonged in a spaceship.

He slapped his palm against his forehead as he remembered his agreement with Novice.

"I'm stupid." He muttered before climbing out of bed. The sheets were thrown off him as he stood up. But a nagging feeling seemed to eat him up,

his head began to pound as a scream filled his ears.

"Fuck-" He gripped onto the closest thing to steady himself. but a silent lingering laugh rang through his head.

'Why not obey me?' It spoke, leaving him confused and frightened. Ruben quickly spun around to glance around his whole room. No one was there. He was all alone.

'silly boy, you won't see me.' The voice said as it chuckled in amusement.

"who are you?" Ruben asked unlocking his pocket knife. The movement caused a shock to race up his arm, causing him to drop the knife.

'Think," it whispered.

Ruben rose his brows in confusion, who could be talking to him? The only person he would think off was

his eyes widen in disbelief,

"Darkness?" The question was loud and clear, leaving the voice silent for moments.

'smart aren't we?' Ruben held his breath as the female laughter filled his ears.

'I need you to understand that I am not helping you both on anything, without it has a cost, however, when you do come find me, I'll be waiting. So, go and tell Perseus that, after all, he's the main one seeking to find his lost love, and he'll find her, as long as you do what I tell you too. Go to the capital city of Obsidian, there you'll find my daughter, she has been captured, and I want her back.' Ruben was more than sure that sounded like it whispered into his ear.

Darkness voice was so loud and clear; it was enough to make him want to shit himself. And he was not ashamed to admit that.

Walking over to his bed, Ruben struggled with the images of his dream.
