"Nothing can ever be easy for a demigod," I told my father, my tone was filled with disgust as I stared up at him. He was in his godly form, towering over me, like the god he is; however the glare at me was not one of a scolding father but that of an enemy.
"I can't believe you would listen to lies, even after I have saved you all countless times," My tone was sharp, as I spat at his feet, turning my glare to all the other gods present.
"You are no hero Perseus," My father snarled kicking me across the room. All I could do was let myself hit the wall, as my body ached from the countless times I' ve been punched and kicked by the very people I once considered family.
"Leave and don't ever think about returning to Olympus," Zeus ordered standing from his throne to point his bolt at me, a sign of a threat.
I let out a humorless laugh, but a cough soon replaced it. A metallic taste filled my mouth, as a bit of blood rolled down the side of my lips.
"Don't worry," I spoke with a raspy tone.
"I am not one of those to return to a place of betrayal. I have no ties to this place any longer," I said turning to face Hestia and Hades, both staring at me with a worried gaze, and yet both being held back by Ares and Apollo who prevented them from reaching me.
"Mark my words Olympians, I won't return, even when you need me, I won't return to a place where I would remember such horrible memories."
The hairs on the back of my neck rose, almost as if warning me. I turned my head slightly over my shoulder to see Annabeth, her gaze so cold, seemed to freeze over many nations.
I held my breath as I turned to face the gods once more. I couldn't look at her. It hurt even to remember her betrayal.
"The gods gave you an order traitor," I could hear the distaste in her voice. I placed my hand in my pocket and took out the small red box I had planned on giving her at one point. I grasped it tightly before letting it go.
It dropped to the ground, disappearing on sight, turning into nothing but vapor.
"Even after such betrayal, I don't hate you," I whispered knowing fully well everyone could hear me. The throne room fell silent as I walked out the throne room, but before leaving. I stopped at the doorway and took out riptide.
"I return this sword to its rightful owner, Zoe Nightshade," I whispered, the sword began to glow in my hand before exploding into many particles of blue light.

I sighed at recalling the way my so-called father treated me that day. Since I found out I was a demigod, I knew life would not be straightforward. I think the fates don't like me. Because something terrible always happens to me.
I sat on the bench of the park and looked up at the cloudy sky. It was cold, so I was hoping it would not rain. I don't have my water power to help me dry off anymore. So, I was doomed.
I heard my stomach roar for food, which reminded me. I had not eaten for days.
"Young man." An elderly lady spoke. I sat up and looked at the kind looking lady. I scanned her face to see she wasn't much older than in her sixties. Her white hair and soft chocolate brown eyes made her look like any other elder. She had a sweet smile on her lips and had those lines indicating she smiled a lot, however her smile fades as she looked into my eyes seeing nothing but dull voids.
"Are you all right?" She asked with worried. I gave her my best smile, hoping not to worry her about my troubles.
"Not my best time, but I'll get through it," I answered respectfully.
