Chapter 12 Failure

Percy's POV

I tapped my foot on the ground. Both Melinda and I where on our way to earth. Yeah. My dad told me to use a spaceship. But then Melinda thought that draw to much attention and forced us to take a portal instead. Yeah. How fun. Note my sarcasm.

I crossed my arms and sighed out loudly. Man she is taking forever to get ready.

"Let's go Percy." Melinda said popping out of nowhere. I let out a squeak, and sat up. Melinda chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"Remember I warned you." She said opening a portal behind her. I let myself stand pushing away her and follow her through it.

Melinda was awfully calm for someone who didn't want me to come meet her parents. vc

A sickling feeling overcame me as we fell. I held my stomach. Traveling through that thing made me feel horrible.

Melinda giggled as she wrapped her arm around mine.

"Oh, honey. Don't worry. This is just you're first time. You'll get used to it at some point." She said resting her head against my shoulder. I chuckled and held my stomach. Holding back a groan of pain.

"Melinda. I'm not feeling so good." I groaned. I saw a bright red light and next thing I know. I'm standing out of the portal. Melinda patted my back, before she rubbed circles. Soothing me.

"Better now?" She asked with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes and rubbed my forehead.

"Oh, yeah. Much better. Now where are we?" I asked looking around.

Melinda glanced around and shrugged.

"I am not sure. But I do believe we are in the middle of a forest." She said walking towards a random direction.

"Wow. Hold on. What do you mean by? 'I'm not sure?" I asked stopping her. She glanced at me with a smile.

"Look below Percy. What do you see?" She asked.

"The ground. Dirt. A bug." I said looking at the ground. She huffed out and waved her hand over the ground. Where I could see a portal.

"We are going underground. Now come on." She said jumping in. I sighed and jumped up into the portal. Bracing myself for the sickling feeling.

All I could see as we feel was red. Lots of red. You know. I don't want to see red for a while now. So much red. Why not blue!?

I'd be okay with green. But damn so much red.

"Let's go." Melinda screamed out, as she disappeared in a bright flash. I was immediately consumed by a bright light.

And next thing I know. I'm in the middle of a bunch of monsters. Melinda glaring, and growling at them all.

"How nice of you to drop in." She said holding her swords. She was ready to fight in Tartarus. So wait, her parents where in Tartarus?!

"Whoa, hold on." I said. The monsters all looked towards me and growled.

"Perseus Jackson." The each somehow knew my name. Everything feel silent as a female's voice screamed at the monsters to stop.

"How are you?" A woman asked Melinda, as she walked out from behind the monsters. Pushing through the hordes of monsters.

The woman however took a glanced at Melinda and gasp.

"No. stay away." She screamed backing away.
