Chapter 7: Far from Gone: Tartarus
I stared shocked at the two young children laying on the floor. Crying out with their cat like cries. Order cooed as she rushed to pick up young Percy. I smiled softly. While I made my way over to the small baby girl on the ground. I picked her up, and smiled.
"Oh, I nearly forgot how adorable my little Emma was as a baby." Void whispered over my shoulder. I smiled, and nodded in agreement. She surely was adorable.
"Oh yes. She is a cute little one." I cooed kissing her forehead.
"Please Elda. Accept our gift. You'll be amazing at taking care of them. Watching them grow up." I frowned, as I turned to face Void. He looked at me with a pleading look.
"Please. My son seems to trust you, Order seems to trust you, and so did young Percy. And now look at my little Emma." I looked down to see little Emma smiling at me while showing her toothless smile.
I looked up at void with a sigh. I stayed silent for a while. Pondering over the pros and cons of the situation.
"Alright. For Percy, and Emma. I want to see them both two grow." I mumbled softly. Void cheered out loudly getting Chaos, and Order attention.
"She will accept our gift." Void shouted to them. Emma looked at her dad with wide eyes, and began to cry at the loud noise. I glared at Void and began to rock her back and forwards in my arms.
"Oh shush. You're scaring Emma." I scolded. He turned to look at me with a smile, and nodded his head in agreement to being quiet. Order gently took Emma from my hold. While Void took my hand. I felt a surge of strength I had long lost return to me. My skin began to feel tighter while a cool sensation of ice cold water surrounded me.
I shut my eyes, as I saw memories of my youth rushed before my eyes. Every bit of me seemed to fill in with hope. Hope of a new better life. Everything suddenly stopped. I opened my eyes to see blur. I looked down at my hands. My skin was once again smooth. Younger...
I touched my face in shock. It was smooth. Soft, and smooth skin greeted me.
I moved the glasses from my face to see everything much clearer. I don't need glasses anymore. I looked at my glasses, and smiled. I turned to look at Order, Chaos and Void. They were smiling at me widely.
Everything within me was screaming in shock. I was surprise at the power of these entities before me, but at the same time. It was a great joy. Void's gaze lingered on me for longer than necessary. Making me feel something churn in my stomach. I smiled at him. Keeping back my blush. I moved towards Order ready to take one of the babies from her. I didn't need to ask for her to handed me Emma. She kindly handed her to me. I smiled as I gave Emma my finger. She held it tightly in her little hand. Emma's smile never waved from her cute little lips.
"She's quite the beauty." Void murmured softly beside me. I jumped slightly at seeing him behind me. So, close to me. When not so long ago he was standing in front of me. I gave him a bright smile and handing him Emma.
"As her father. You have more right to hold her. Don't you think?" I asked softly. He looked into my eyes once more. Nodding his head in agreement. I smiled and looked at Order. Both Chaos and Order where happily cooing over little Percy's cuteness.
"I would have loved Emma's mother to be like you." Void suddenly said. I snapped my head towards him with wide eyes.
"What happened to Emma's mother?" I asked confused. Something within me told me. That it was something horrible.
