Chapter 9: Training begins
Far from gone
Sir. Are you sure this is for the best?" Emily asked me.
I glanced up to look at her with a hollow smile. I was more than sure.
"Of course. What can be better than messing with their lovely plans?" I could see her shiver, as she held the child close to her chest. She better leave him where I told her to. My son should, and will be trained just like a prince within those palace walls. I'll make sure of it. Ruben will be a prince.
Percy's POV:
"But mom." I wined as I glared at Emma. She gave me a glare in return. Yeah, it's decided. I don't like that girl. And she clearly did not like me in return.
"You two are troublesome five-year old's." My mom groaned. Elda gave off a small chuckle, as she turned to face the stove.
"What are you making mom?" Emma asked turning her glare from me. Everything was not as it seems. Our parents wanted us to get along, and we don't. I sighed and sat on the table.
"Oh. We are making soup. You guys go play. We'll be in here cooking." Elda told us.
I glanced at the door to see Alex. Andrew however was nowhere in sight. Nor was Sylvania. Which is weird. Very weird.
"Come on Percy." Emma jumped of her seat and marched out of the kitchen. I shrugged carelessly and followed her out to the very large back yard.
I sat down on the steps and watched as other children in the palace ran around playing tag or other games. I then glanced at Emma to see her playing with a boy around our age. I looked down knowing that we won't ever get along like our dads want us too. We're both so different. I was always an outcast. And still am. No one wanted to play with me.
"What are you doing here alone." A lady asked. I turned around to see a masked lady. She was wearing a cloak. Which had a hood, and hiding her face very well. I think it looked cool. But the other kids screamed when she appeared. I looked at them all in confusion.
"She's going to hurt the prince." Many of the girls began to whisper about the lady behind me. She however didn't seem to care.
"I don't have friend to play with." I answered. She gave of a small chuckle and sat down beside me.
"I can be you're friend." She said. And right before my eyes, she turned into a four-year-old. I looked at her amazed. She didn't look so scary like this. She took of her mask and gave me a cute smile.
"Come on prince novice." I wrinkled my nose in disgust at the word prince, as she gave me a small nod as made way for me to pass through. I glanced back at the other kids and frowned.
"Where are you going?" I asked looking at her with a questioning gaze. She reached out her hand to me. It's when I noticed black gloves. Man doesn't she get hot wearing all those clothes?
"You're father and grandfather asked me to start training you. Emma will be trained by her father. You however will be trained by me." I stared at her in wonder. I felt excited knowing that I'd finally train.
Such like my dad trained when he was a little boy. When he told he stories of when he was young.
"So, cool." I shouted fist pumping into the air. Emma gave of a snort from behind me making me turn around to glance at her. She rolled her eyes and huffed out before going back to talking to the other boy. I looked back at the lady.
