Chapter 11: Think about All
Percy's POV
I watched as my father and mother silently talked to one another. In hush tones. I nervously glanced at Melinda, as she waited beside me.
Yeah. We told my parent about us. So far. They are not talking it so well. But deep, deep down. I don't care. I like Melinda. And I'll stay with her.
I watched my father sigh, as he turned to glance at me.
"My son. Come with me. I must speak with you." He gestured to me. I glanced at Melinda, who gave me a nod of encouragement. She gently pushed me towards him. I took her hand and gave it a small squeeze, before walking over to my father.
He gave me a small smile. Easing my worries. I may not care entirely, but I still wish for their approval of her.
"My son. We must talk. I will approve of her." He began to talk about battles Melinda has won in his name. And how wonderful she was. As we walked we past many halls. Wondering aimlessly around the palace.
"You know. She created a new kingdom in my name?" He suddenly asked. I stopped walking and glanced at him with surprise.
"Melinda did all that?" I asked amazed. He gave a small nod and gestured to a door.
"Inside this room is where we hold all the evidence of those battles, but my son. This is not why I asked to talk to you." He sighed as he rubbed his temples.
I began to feel dread was over me. I looked around, not meeting my father's gaze.
"My son. I'll put this lightly. I don't think this relationship is a good thing. Anything could happen." My father gave of a big frown. Making me frown. His words churned in my head.
'What could go so bad to make us breakup?' I asked myself.
"Just be careful." My father said with a loud sigh.
"And try to talk to her parent as well. I'm sure Tartarus and Gaia will me happy to hear this news." I gave him a nod and made my way back to my old. Room. The room I had when I was little. As I neared it I saw Emma standing outside. I frowned in confusion as she glanced up to see me coming. From the other hall, I saw Melinda walking towards us.
"Why are you here?" I asked confused. I glanced at Melinda to see her walking towards us.
"I came to congratulate you on your win." She said with a scowl. I gave a small nod as I turned to face Melinda, who was no behind me.
"Hello lady Emma." Melinda bowed her head to Emma. Making me bite back my tongue. Clearly Emma looked amused.
"Without your commander position you are a nobody." Emma remarked. I could feel the hate Melinda was radiating.
"Not entirely Lady Emma. Not entirely." She stood up straight again and turned to face me. I glanced down at her hand.
"Please, you no longer have control of the army." Emma snorted. Melinda chuckle.
"I don't need someone else army." She said so clearly. Making Emma's eyes go wide. I held back a laugh, as I took Melinda's hand.
"Come on. We have to talk." I chuckled out. Emma rose a brow as she looked down at our hands.
"How lovely." She snorted and turned the other way. Walking away from us both.
"Do you really have your own army?" I asked amazed. Melinda chuckled as she nodded her head.
