Melinda's eyes scanned her surroundings. Everything was peaceful here, she could see again. Melinda's lips began to quiver as she felt the emptiness inside herself.
She was missing something...
No, she was missing someone.
A wall of emotions came crashing down on Melinda. She held the pain in. Her surrounding was a dream come true, everything she ever wanted.
Melinda had even been restored to her old self! But the pain in her heart was dragging her down, like a stone in water, just sinking to the bottom. It was too much for her to bare. An enormous pressure was telling Melinda, she had made the wrong choice.
With a heavy heart, Melinda sat down on the thick green grass and stared at the open field.
"I miss you, Percy." She rested her chin on top her knees and Imagined Percy's face. The first thing Melinda could recall from Percy where his bright universal eyes, the way they have shown with power and wisdom, yet mischief and goofiness.
A sad tear rolled down Melinda's cheek as she realized she was so selfish. Percy had suffered so much in his past. Been hurt so much by those he cared for, and yet here she was doing the exact same thing.
"Oh, my dear!" A familiar voice called out to her. Melinda turned to see who had called out to her. To Melinda's shock, it was Selene. The previous moon Titan.
"S-selen?" Melinda quickly stood up from where she was seating.
"Oh, it is you!" Selen rushed to hug Melinda who was standing there shocked. In her whole life, Selen had never expected to Melinda to be here with the faded!
"Child, why are you here?" Selen asked while worriedly gazing at Melinda's sadden expression.
"I have made the worst mistake of my life." Melinda cried while covering her face. Her body stiff, and unresponsive, with no idea of what to do while showing this much of emotion.
"I left the man I love to save myself, I'm such a selfish being!"
For the first time in such a long time, a tear escaped from Melinda's blue orbs. While Selen stood to the side with a hidden smile on her lips.
"You have found someone worthy of your heart? Then I believe I can help you return to the world of the living." Melinda's head snapped towards Selen, her eyes sparkling with joy as she pulled the moon titan into a bone-crushing hug.
"Thank you! What must I do?" Melinda asked releasing Selene from her deadly hug. For the first in, in eons, Melinda was vibrating with positive emotions, and she could now, feel the great love she had towards Percy, it was much more evident than it had been before.
"Look behind you dear." Selen lifted her arm to point at something behind her. Melinda turned around in confusion, behind her, not far behind, was the edge, but guarding the border was an enormous dragon.
"You have to sneak past him, and then jump. Hopefully, you can survive the fall." Selen smiled sadly at her. Melinda's eyes went wide at the Idea of throwing herself of such hight. But then the thought of a distraught Percy filled her with determination.
"Wish me luck Selene," Melinda muttered silently, bidding her farewell to the moon Titan. With a twirl, Melinda felt herself close her eyes, last moments of peace before she would thrust herself into a world of havoc, pain, and war.
Taking a deep breath Melinda opened her eyes, releasing the air she took in. After a mistake, she would fix her wrongs.
