CHAPTER 22

Truth or Dare?

"The ultimate dare is to tell the truth."

I woke up the next morning at about 7. I knew I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep, so I just decided to get up. I was so excited; Danielle and Sapna were coming over later today. Danielle was obsessed with Restless Road, too, so I'm sure she was freaking out.

I got ready for the day and walked downstairs. They were coming at 1, and it was 8 now, so I had some time to waste.

I don't think time could have gone any slower. Every minute felt like a day, and every hour felt like a year. When the clock finally struck one and the doorbell rang, I was surprised that I hadn't died yet.

I opened the door to see a smiling Danielle and Sapna. I hugged them both and invited them inside. However, they weren't paying attention to me; they were staring into my living room.

"Um, so this is Colton, Andrew, and Zach," I said. "But you probably already knew that. And this is Danielle and Sapna."

"Ah, the famous Danielle and Sapna," Andrew said. "It's nice to meet you." Sapna was actually pretty calm about the whole thing, but Danielle looked like she was going to pass out. "Are you okay?" he asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fi-" SMACK. She just ran into a wall.

"I'm going to go with no," I said, and she glared at me. I smiled. "So, we're going to stay in the basement and Colton, you're going to go up to my room for tonight, if that's okay."

"That's fine," he said. Sapna and Danielle grabbed their stuff and we all walked downstairs.

"So," I said. "How's life been?"

We talked for a long time, about school and boys and music and everything that was on our minds. None of the boys talked; I wasn't sure if they were amused or if they scared. I'm going to go with the latter.

Time flew by, and soon it was midnight.

"I think it's time for an intense game of Truth or Dare," Colton suggested. Andrew and Zach both agreed. I looked at Danielle and Sapna and we all shrugged.

"Sure," I said.

"Okay, I'll go first," Andrew said. "Katie, truth or dare?"

Now which was the better option... "Um... truth?"

"What is the most irritating part about touring with us?"

"Um... I think the most irritating part about you is the fact that you guys never, and I mean never, leave me alone. Okay, um, Colton. Truth or dare?"

"Dare," he said, without hesitation.

"Kiss Danielle," I said just as fast. She had always had a thing for Colton, so why not? I mean, I got Zach, she should be able to have Colton. I looked over at Danielle and she looked terrified.

"Um, don't we both have to agree on this?" she asked.

"Oh, come on, Dani," I said, amused. "You know you want to. And by playing this game you agreed to everything, without any chickens. So, you have to." She sighed.

"...Well, okay." She leaned in and their lips met. It only lasted like half a second, but she was blushing like mad after she pulled away.

"Pretty steamy," I said. We continued the game for quite a long time. I think I probably had a six pack by now; I was laughing so hard. An hour or so later, I decided to end the game.

"Okay, guys, I'm going to bed now. We have some big plans for tomorrow and I can't wait! But I'm not going to survive on no sleep, so I would suggest you all do the same." Danielle and Sapna walked over to the bed I had set up for them, Colton and Andrew headed upstairs, and I went into Colton's room. Zach followed.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Um, I think you forgot to say goodnight to someone," he said.

I sighed, but kissed him anyways. "Goodnight, Zach. See you in the morning." He walked out of my room and I fell asleep almost instantly, dreaming about tomorrow's adventures.
