"There is no real ending, it's just the place where you stop the story."

"Zach, wait..."

He turned around and stared at me.

"Don't go."

He slowly walked back to the porch I was standing on, never breaking eye contact. With each step, I could further see the hurt in his eyes, and that's when I knew he was sincere. He never meant to hurt me. He never meant any of the things he did. He just got caught up in the moment.

Sometimes, the best thing to do is to forgive and forget, and move on. While I wouldn't forget what Zach did to me, I knew if I wanted to save our relationship- our friendship- I needed to forgive him. People make mistakes, people mess up, and I fully believe in second chances. Everyone deserves one. Even Zach.

Zach kept walking until he came up to me. I looked down.

"I don't... I don't want things to end this way."

"I don't either..."

"I guess.. Let's just move past this. I don't want to lose you, Zach, and I hope you feel the same way," I said.

"I do. I love you. I don't know why I did it, and I feel absolutely terrible for hurting you. But I swear, it'll never happen again."

"What if it does, though?" I asked, looking up.

"It won't. I can promise you that."

"You promised last time, too."

"I know I did. And I know I broke that promise. And I'm sorry. Believe me, I really really am."

"I do believe you, Zach, and I want to forgive you. I want to take you back. But what if it happens again? You don't know how heartbroken I felt. I can't go through that ever again."

"As much as I wish I could, I can't take back the past. You know that, and I know that. So, really, the only thing we can do now is move forward, It's up to you whether or not you take me back or not."

"I don't know...."

"Look, I completely understand if you don't want to. If I were you, I'd probably hate me. I made a huge mistake, one that cost me my life, but I have to accept the consequences. Of course, I'd do anything to have you back with me, but if I can't have that I'd like to at least try to be friends... We are touring with each other for the next few months."

"I know. I.... think I want to give us another shot."

"Really?" Zach asked, surprised.

"Yeah. But just know that if you EVER, and I mean EVER, do anything like that again, we're done. No relationship, no friendship, nothing."

"I understand. And I really appreciate you giving me another chance, even though I don't deserve it."

"I couldn't give up on you that easily," I said, and he hugged me like he'd never hugged me before. I missed him, and I know that he missed me, and I know that together is where we were meant to be.

So, I guess after all of this, I realized that true love does exist, second chances should always be given, and you should just live the life you want to live. Don't overthink things, live life for the moment, and just be yourself. After all, life's too short to be anything but happy, and I'm happiest where I am now. Finally, I belong.

I cannot thank you guys enough for all the support you've given me throughout this story. You've inspired me to keep writing, even when I didn't feel like it anymore. This book is for you guys!

I'm sad to say that this is an end to Wanted. I appreciate your support and will continue to appreciate it in the future, maybe in a possible sequel or maybe in a new story? I was thinking about writing an Andrew Scholz story, but we'll see! I'm open to suggestions!

Anyway, thanks again! You honestly have no idea how much it means to me that you actually read my story, but I'm forever grateful for it. I love you all.
