Niall went to the market, he said he'd only be like an hour, but two hours passed and I started to worry.

A knock at the door took me out of my deep thoughts. I cautiously walked over. I slowly opened the door to reveal who was standing there.

It was my actual dad, the man I've known my entire life. Who betrayed me.

"What do you want," I asked.

"We need to talk," he calmly said.

"About."

"I'm sorry, about everything. I wasn't thinking clearly," he says.

"You think, you destroyed my life, what makes you think, I'll forgive you," I harshly say.

"Because I'm your dad," he says.

"Well you technically aren't," I tell him.

"I know, but I raised you," he said.

"You were my hero, and then you destroyed my life, I didn't know what to do. To see mom dead and know you were in on it broke my heart," I honestly tell him.

"I understand. I wasn't thinking rationally. I wasn't there when you needed me. But you are my daughter, even if we aren't blood related," he admits.

"Why would you sink this low. It doesn't make sense," I say, tears freely falling out of my eyes.

"It seemed rational at the time," he sadly admits.

"How does something like this ever seem rational," I question.

"I don't expect you to understand," he said.

I take a seat on the couch, him following my actions. "Make me understand," I beg.

"Knowing you weren't my daughter broke my heart."

"So you decided to ruin my life," I confirm. "None of this makes sense."

"Mr.Smith is not a good person, he's always been whacked," he tells me.

"So you send me to the school he works at, gave me no warning of this."

"I didn't think it would end like this."

"But it did and mom's dead. Is this what you wanted?"

"No."

"Well that's what fucking happened."

"Why would you do this to our family, I couldn't ask for better parents. It wasn't mom's fault. You shouldn't blame her," I tell him.

"I know sweetheart, this is just how it played out and if I could change it, I would," he says.

"I know, dad, I don't get it. Why did you do it."

"I don't know sweetheart."

"When I first heard your voice, I knew it was you, but I tried to convince myself it wasn't you. Because I knew my dad wouldn't sink that low, but boy was I wrong," I sob placing my face in my hands.
