A few days later...

I slipped into the office block quietly, ready to continue my work on the wedding photos. For the past couple days I had been using the office as my studio, where I would edit, adjust and rescale photos so that I could make my home a clear place. I loved my job, I loved every single aspect of it but there was simply no room to work, store equipment and live.

Carrying a lemon and lime water I stepped into my colourful and slightly chaotic office with a smile, I couldn't wait to get cracking on the photos and only went home last night because I left my phone charger there otherwise I'd be using this place as home.

I had three folders to contend with, I guess my line of work had lead me to this but I had constructed three folders just on wedding photos as I had covered all three styles.

Three styles? Well there's just taking photos, which anyone can do, sure enough but then there's taking wedding photos...

Style 1 - Reportage Wedding style - This style is almost journalistic, as if you were there yourself. Where I have followed the bride and groom around recording the events of the day as they unfold. these would be shots like, walking down the aisle, the vows, the ceremony and first dance.

Style 2 - Traditional style - These are the most traditional styles, shots set up and posed. Helpful if it's a large wedding to snap, but also stressful. In some cases a lot of the photos looked forced especially if you have animosity within the crowd. These would include family shots, groom & groom's men, bride and her bridesmaids.

Style 3- Contemporary Style- These are the pre-shots, based on fashion, modern and creativity. I had based all the preparation of the wedding photos in there. Such as the dress, shoes, rings, table decorations, the hall and hotel.

And yes.. All these needed editing. But I loved it.

I had one pile done, my Reportage set was completed, today I planned to get my traditional set done so that I was only left with contemporary. It was a beautiful day, stuff of fairytales if you ask me. I was glad that Justin didn't ruin it with his drinking which had only seemed to have worsened over the years. I guess he did me a favour that day, it still hurt like a bitch though. But I've moved on, hell I deserve better.

I looked across the hall to see Zak's office door closed, he hadn't been in and truthfully I hadn't expected him to. I hadn't heard hide no hair of him, he seemed fine when he dropped me home after California. I just hoped I didn't say anything that offended him. I still couldn't believe that Zak 12 years ago was Zak today.

Not that I expected him to be a complete different person or to sprout another head, but he had changed. Sitting down I thought back to that wedding night, it was a traditional wedding and I had been lumbered with Bridezilla.

It was one of those weddings where I felt like giving her the camera and telling her to do it all herself. She inspected every single photo after I took it and if she didn't look perfect? It was to be deleted.

Bride... Zilla.

But one person made the evening.. That was Zak. He was stood at the bar in a white shirt a few sizes too big with his hair all gelled forward. Some cheap cologne but a cheeky smile and a glint in his eye. But he packed charm and sure enough had me giggling and blushing. We danced.. God I stood on his foot more times that I could remember, but he simply grinned and pulled me a little closer to stop me stressing myself out and probably to save his toes.

Then that fire alarm ruined it.. People half drunk went into sheer panic and I was almost trampled over. Something scared me that night, and that happened when I let go of his hands. I didn't want to fall over and drag him with me to get hurt, so I let go.
