A parents love never dies.

As the numbers of the clock flicked over, I sighed.

4am...

"Can't sleep too?" Zak asked. His voice vibrated his chest where I had my head.

"No."

"Want to talk?" He asked. "About it all?"

I nodded "I'd like too, I think it would help."

Zak's fingers traced the curve of my hip as he began.

"Harmony.. She has a friend called Tanya, Tanya is pregnant. They have been spending time together, I believed it was because Harmony needed a little help adjusting to the idea. You know how women share secrets and gossip."

I tried not to take offence to that by lifting my eyebrow.

"Tanya is suffering with a few medical problems. I didn't ask, it's not my business. But Harmony offered to take Tanya's tests to the doctors, she told her that she also had to go for a check up... So Tanya being in pain and being naïve gave her the pee sample."

"She used it to do the test..." I whispered.

"Correct, Harmony decided to stick a pregnancy test inside the pee sample to get a positive result. She knew I'd be so stunned that I wouldn't ask her to prove it. I was stunned, mortified in fact. She thought of the perfect lie."

I frowned "You would have noticed... Baby bump?"

He chuckled "Oh she thought of that too. Kept telling me she's sexually frustrated, let's make a go of things, tried to come on to me a few times. I guess she would have got pregnant eventually by someone. But it wouldn't be by me. That's for sure."

"How can you be?" I asked looking at the clock.

"Because I only want you. That's the gods honest."

We laid in silence for a while before I concluded the whole thing.

"She's a bat shit crazy bitch."

"I feel you on that." He responded burying his fingers into my hair.

"So what now? Does she know that you know?" I asked.

"She hasn't got a clue. I told Tanya to keep quiet."

"How does Tanya know about the urine sample?" I asked grossed out at the idea of anyone stealing pee!

"Let's say Harmony has a tendency to drunk dial.. A lot."

"Hmm.. She better not ring you. I'll give her a piece of my mind." I grumbled making him snigger.

"What a bitch." I sighed.

"Yeah. But out of all this I'm happy about one thing? That we pulled together, I'm just mad to think she could have ruined it for us and personally, I think that is what she wanted." He responded making me nod.

"Most likely, dude.. You sure pick them."

"Tell me about it." He grunted.

Silence fell between us again before Zak spoke "Why haven't you opened the time capsule?"

"I don't really know. I guess after our bust up I just wanted to be close with you." I replied.

"Let's open it now." He suggested.

I sat up and flicked on the little lamp, Zak's hand rubbed my back in comfort as I picked up the box and placed it on my lap.

I have a little groan as Zak massaged his thumb into my back "That nice?" He asked amused.
