Another dark place

My hand tightened on the door handle as Zak's driving became more erratic. On a few occasions I looked over to see him with the same glare on his face, arms straight, holding the steering wheel tightly.

"Za-"

"Shut up." He snapped making me close my mouth "I just need you to be quiet okay. Just, please..."

I nodded and kept quiet hoping that where ever we were going? Wasn't to mortuary from how fast he was weaving between traffic.

Eventually we came to a grinding halt in downtown Vegas. I gave a shaky breath wondering if he'd lost his anger, or if there was no gas in the tank when he pulled the keys out.

"Get out.. Follow me." He demanded.

Holding my tongue I got out and watched as he stalked over to a cream coloured building behind a set of gates.

"What is this place?" I asked stepping inside and closing the gate behind me "You bought another home?"

He refused to answer and unlocked the door before pulling me inside to close it again quickly.

I watched as he put on the four different locks before moving past me and down the dark corridor. My eyes tried to adjust from the sudden darkness but it was taking its time.

"You just going to stand there?" He asked.

"I can't see very well.." I mumbled shuffling slowly in his direction of voice.

The lights went on giving me a better chance to see where we were to. I frowned hard looking at the dark walls and creepy items.

"What is this place?" I asked quietly mostly to myself.

"My museum. This way." He grunted.

Museum?

"Museum? Wait you own a museum now too?" I asked following him as we slipped off the main hall and into a small room. Zak unlocked the second door before walking straight in. So I followed like he asked and ended up in a room with a large large mirror...

Who's mirror is this? The hulks?!

"Sit." He demanded pointing to the bench in front of the mirror.

I sat on it looking at him when he sighed. "Turn around and look on the mirror.. Obviously."

I turned and looked up at my reflection, I saw him behind me with his arms folded across his chest watching me.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm just trying to work out how you can consider yourself a whale when clearly you're not. I'm trying to work out where and how you don't fit with someone like me? How I have to be honest?" He asked.

"We are worlds apart... This place only contributes to my statement." I answered.

"What? Cause I own this, suddenly you're not good enough for me? You know this is all over fucking Walmart!"

I shook my head and looked away from him and the stupidly beautiful mirror.

"LOOK AT THE MIRROR!" He bellowed making me stand up.

"I've had enough of people yelling at me for a life time. You Zak Bagans will not be another one!" I shouted at him.

He ran his hand over his face before growling "I swear to god everything is a fight with you.. Why? Why are you constantly fighting me?!"

"Because I'm scared!" I admitted.

"Of me?! Of me?! Look at me Robyn! I'm throwing myself at you! I'm trying to show you how much you mean to me and all I'm getting is resistance! What have I done?!"
