I carried my sleeping beauty into the house and placed her down on the couch gently. Aaron and Billy had came over whilst we were out and started the reviewing, we each had keys to each others houses for emergency purposes so to find them in my lounge wasn't anything new.
"She okay?" Aaron whispered handing me a blanket.
"Yeah.. I think today has worn her out." I replied draping it over her before kneeling beside Robyn. I brushed her hair back and ran my thumb over her soft cheek.
"We seen the CCTV bro, it's hard to watch." Billy frowned looking down at her.
"It played her too easily." I sighed getting up and heading to the kitchen.
As I walked in, I paused to see my kitchen a mess. "Shit sorry, I am tidying but you came back and I wanted to know how she was." Aaron spoke slipping past me and began cleaning his mess up.
"You're both clean now though? Right?" Billy asked from the doorway.
I nodded "Yeah, bishop gave her some info on demonic attachments and signs.. Stuff I should have taught her, if I wasn't so stupid."
"Hey? Come on man. She's not solely your responsibility. We all care and watch out for her." He answered.
I didn't have the heart to tell him she was a little more to me than a friend but I knew Bill meant well.
"Does she have a rosary?" Aaron asked making me nod.
"Yeah, got one of mine. She's gonna have to wear that when we work.. Preferably all the time but I can't force her too."
"I'm sure if anyone can convince her. It will be you, you're very close to each other." Billy stated making me nod once.
Definitely close alright...
"How far have you got on the foot-"
An almighty bang sounded as pots fell out the cupboard from Aaron's stacking. "Jesus fucking Christ Aaron! Are you trying to wake the devil?!" I hissed taking over and putting them back properly.
"Are you saying Robyn is the devil?" He asked making me lift a pan as a warning to him.
He moved away grinning before he continued eating my food.
"Shall I just buy a second pantry? For you?" I asked him.
"Dude.. What an awesome idea." He said looking around my kitchen for a place.
"I was joking." I responded.
"Spoil sport."
I rolled my eyes and looked to Billy who was shaking his head at Aaron as he foraged for more food. "He's like a squirrel."
"Oh pretzels!" He sang making me glare in his direction.
"Sorry! Sorry." He whispered "I keep forgetting."
"Dude if you wake he-"
"Zak?" Robyn mumbled stepping into the kitchen rubbing her eyes. I smiled instantly as she grumbled her way over to me and into my side.
"Hey.. Sorry about the noise." I whispered throwing a dig at Aaron. Looking down at her, I caught Aaron sneaking in behind carrying a large tub of pretzels.
He thought he was being a ninja, but at 6,2 and as clumsy as a clown he could hardly be inconspicuous.
"They are about 3 years old." I said making him stop mid creep.
"Thre- dude..." He moaned.
However even that didn't phase him as he opened the tub and tried one. They must have been okay as he continued on with the tub.
