I rolled out of sleep and scrunched up my body before stretching out. Splaying my hands out, I realised I was alone and that made me grumble. Deep down I had hoped he'd still be next to me, but I chided myself for even thinking it. After all, I was the one who suggested friendship.

Sitting up, I found my bags at the foot of the bed, he must have put them there...

I eventually got up and found that my ankle was a little sore but bearable, I guess he had magic hands. I took a shower and got myself ready before pulling the door open.

Stepping into our small lounge my eyes fell on the table where a small note sat. But it wasn't the note that caught my attention, it was the box sat behind it..

I approached with caution and picked up the note addressed to me.

Robyn, I've gone out. I won't be long. Z x

I rolled my eyes and placed it down. "Well that revealed a lot."

Pushing the urge to shake the box, I walked away and sat down on the couch playing on my phone. I couldn't help but look over a few times wondering what it was.

Zak arrived back an hour later as I was stood in the little kitchen, most hotels called them nooks, I found them cute but sometimes really unnecessary.

I mean, who uses a nook to avoid a suspicious box?

"Hi." I spoke making myself a drink.

He didn't reply which made me look around to see him frowning hard.

"Hey? What's up?"

"Oh good you're up." He smiled.

"Yes... You left me in bed." I countered.

"Looked too cute to wake. Breakfast?"

I slid across the room and sat beside him on the couch as he pulled out a two boxes and set the bag aside.

"What's in the box that always rocks?" I asked opening it up.

"Pancakes, maple syrup and bacon." He grinned handing me a plastic fork.

"You know how to spoil a girl." I replied digging in with him.

The bacon was phenomenal, so much so I wished to eat it all over again, I did however feel a tiny bit upset when I realised I had scoffed my breakfast rather than savour it.

"Were you hungry?" Zak asked seeing my pouted face at the empty box.

"Yeah." I mumbled.

"Hmm, this is good."

I watched him eating before distracting myself with something else. "I've got something for you." Zak spoke making me look over.

My fat face was hoping for more food.. God I hope it was!

He gave me a smaller box causing me to frown. "Open it then."

I opened it to find a small cupcake with white frosting inside and a candle in it. I smiled instantly as he lit the candle and held the cupcake towards me.
