That gif gives me the chills *faints*

*Alison's POV*

Hey, you reached Jake! Leave a message. *beep*

I let out a frustrated groan and tossed my phone on the bed. I ran a hand through my hair anxiously while pacing around the room. It's been weeks since I've heard from Jake. I tried calling him, texting, and I even left several voicemails, but he responded to none of them. I know I may be coming off as desperate, but I just want to know if he's okay. Billy told me that Jake was sick, but something told me that it was something different than sickness.

I sighed and started out the window, watching the rain fall. I made up my mind and decided to go to Jake's house to confront him. I needed some answers and I wanted them now. I randomly threw on some clothes and ran downstairs to see everyone watching TV.

"Hey guys, I'm heading over to Jake's house," I said.

"Alright honey just be careful," mom said. I grabbed Dylan's car keys and hopped in his car. Once I put the keys in the kitchen, the car roared to life and I was off to Jake's house. By the time I got there, I pulled up to the side of his house and the rain was pounding harshly against the windshield at this point.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion when I noticed a muscular, tan boy walking in the rain without a shirt. Is he crazy?!  His hair was in a short, cropped style and had a tattoo on his shoulder. The boy was only wearing cut-off shorts and sneakers. My eyes widened in shock as I realized that the person was Jake. What the heck happened to him?!  Wait a minute, Billy said that Jake was sick, but then why is he out in the rain barely wearing anything?! I got out the car and slammed the door and started making my way towards him, not caring that I was getting soaked from the rain.

"Jake! Hey!" I called out to him. Jake turned around alarmed and looked at me with a shocked expression.

"What happened to your hair and when did you get a tattoo?" I frowned and started looking him up and down, analyzing him.

"Ali," he breathed huskily and looked at me with sorrow and sadness swimming in his chocolate brown eyes.

"I thought you were sick, but you look perfectly fine to me. Jake, what's going on?" I questioned him. The look of sadness disappeared from his eyes and was replaced with a hard and cold look.

"Go away," he snapped, catching me by surprise.

"W-What?" I stuttered out.

"Go away," he repeated in that same harsh tone.

"Hey Jake!" I peered around Jake's figure to see 4 other muscular tan guys near the forest. Jake looked back at me with that same harsh look in his eyes, but his eyes held another emotion that I couldn't exactly detect. Was it...regret?

"Look Alison, we can't be friends anymore. I found better people to hang out with," he said harshly. I flinched when he used my full name. Jake never used my full name.

"Where is all this coming from?" I asked as tears started to form in my eyes. Something wasn't right here. This can't be the same guy that I would always hang out with.

"I just got tired of hanging out with you. I was only friends with you because I felt sorry for you. I wouldn't even say that we were friends. We were just acquaintances. You need to find other people to hang out with," he growled, making my heart break. How can he say that?!

"I-I don't understand. Was it something I said or did?" I asked and felt tears rolling down my face. I made no move to wipe them away only because I knew that they would continue to fall. Thank goodness that my tears were blending in with the rain.

Jake's face softened as he noticed my tear-filled eyes. He looked as if he were restraining himself.

"No, don't blame yourself. It's not you," he said and I mentally scoffed at that overused phrase.

"It's not you, it's me right? Seriously?" I scoffed and crossed my arms.

"No, that's not what I meant. Look, I used to be a good kid, but that was in the past. It doesn't even matter anymore," Jake shook his head.

"Look, if I hurt you in any way, please tell me. It's killing me and I won't be able to live with myself," I said with my voice thick with tears.

"I'm sorry, but it's better this way," Jake said.

"No, but Jake you promised that you wouldn't hurt me. Please don't do this," I sobbed. At this point, my clothes and hair were heavily soaked from the rain and I mentally prayed that I wouldn't get sick.

"I promised that I'd never hurt you Ali and this is me keeping that promise. Go home and don't come back or else you're going to get hurt," he said and took off running to the woods. Too late for that.

"Jake come back!" I called out desperately, but he ignored me and kept running. I left his house feeling numb, empty, sad, hurt, and most of all, hearbroken.

Awww poor Ali :(
